Hi - I just watched this on youtube re the new film - I noticed FBG on the handwritten setlist (0.44ish) in between FTS and WQ, this seems odd? link |

I thought so too |
Kamenliter 14.05.2018 15:02 |
Just noticed your post..I posted the same thoughts over in the Serious Discussion area (I guess it's more a General one)...but, yep...wtf?? Just as they misspelled Pressure with a missing 's' on the Scrabble board. It's Queen, there's just bound to be these type of ridiculous mistakes. |

And there’s a video trailer snippet now released which shows John playing bass left handed....I hope it’s an explainable and justified camera reverse shot for some reason |
cmsdrums 14.05.2018 17:22 |
Now I’ll get REALLY anal....have they got Remo or Acquarian drum heads on Roger’s toms at Live Aid when he actually had Ludwig Rocker heads on? Difficult to see in that clip but could be right or wrong. They started it with making wild claims of everything being perfect and authentic!! |

Re: John playing left handed, and the Vox logo on the AC30s is also on the wrong side. Probably a flipped image. As for drum head types, that won't affect any enjoyment of this film for me personally. |

Donovan wrote: As for drum head types, that won't affect any enjoyment of this film for me personally.nor me....and I wouldn’t have even thought thought to look for it until QPL set the bar by proclaiming everything down to the brand of cigarettes and the labels on tape boxes was painstakingly researched! If when we get a longer and clearer trailer and they’re right then I will gladly acknowledge, but if not then I will be rightly annoyed by QPL and Greg Brooks’ usually hyberbole! |
mooghead 14.05.2018 19:02 |
Greg Brooks probably did the set list thing on purpose knowing fine well how hysterical people here would get when they see it. Fair play to him if that is the case :-) |
Supersonic_Man89 14.05.2018 19:07 |
Embarassing. Also, Why not use copies of the actual setlist? The band didn't write out the full names of songs, so why have they done?? Amateurish. Again, i wouldn't usually call this out - but they're trying to show off. |
dysan 14.05.2018 19:21 |
Still it's pretty cool Hangman is on that setlist. Maybe something is forthcoming. I'd guess Orge Battle should be in the place of FBG. Curious. Seeing the Live Aid setlist written down like that made me realise instead of a random mish mash of songs (opening with BR - curious and pretty eccentric) it was basically the last 20 minutes of pretty much every gig they did '85-86 |
maths15 14.05.2018 19:27 |
I’m not going to watch the film because the band are being played by actors WTF! Why can’t the band play themselves? Tardy. |
blueroom 14.05.2018 20:17 |
What? Don't you all remember the show on Feb 31 1979 when they played loads of cuts from the first two albums and only one new song??!?!? Really goes to show how accurate this film is going to be. What even is the reason for slotting FBG inbetween Father to Son and White Queen on an otherwise pretty accurate early 1974 setlist? Next we'll learn that Breakthru was being played on the Game tour! |
dysan 14.05.2018 20:21 |
I think they were trolling us tbh |
mooghead 14.05.2018 20:28 |
Freddie's elbow was at the wrong angle. Fuck this film. Fuck Queen and fuck my life. It isn't even Queen. It is actors. Fuck it all!!! |
matt z 14.05.2018 22:12 |
^Freddie didn't crowd surf. So much for accuracy. Roger also didn't look like he has Frankenstein's monster 's skull shaped underneath a wig. That guy looks fucking ridiculous |

Guys guys guys ! - this is the movies! - dang getting bogged down with accuracy and authentication, IT has never mattered. What's important is the SPIRIT of the subject. That's all. |
dysan 15.05.2018 07:06 |
Agreed. But still! |
dysan 15.05.2018 07:19 |
The problem with the setlist is - someone would've said we need a cool looking setlist for the teaser. If it was just for a prop on stage that no one sees up close it could've had Bauhaus song titles on there for all we'd know. However for this close up, that idea goes to the art director who then sends the brief to an artist who will then research it and look at similar ones - I guess hence Hangman being there > then it goes back up the trail. At no point did anyone say 'hold on' bearing in mind they are working on a Queen film that is priding itself in accuracy. So that makes me think it's on purpose. As a troll, because FBG is someone's fav song, because Orge is banned in China, because whatever. Would be nice to know. Of course, Ogre Battle could've had the working title 'FBG' and the band still referred to it as that until Brian took the unused title and made a new song with that name. Then we be the stupid. |
dysan 15.05.2018 07:28 |
Not to mention that it's written on A4 and not Foolscap. |

Chopin1995 wrote:Agreed, and exactly my earlier point - it's QPL/GB that actively set the bar, and openly come out with ludicrous statements around authenticity which we know won't be the case; in any other business you would 'manage customer expectations' but they never do with all their hyperbole. dysan, re: >Still it's pretty cool Hangman is on that setlist. Maybe something is forthcoming. Fucking hell; reading into things that simply aren't there...... |
dysan 15.05.2018 13:01 |
There are currently 2 threads reading stuff into these trailers. And you pick up on that comment? |
dysan 15.05.2018 13:13 |
There's a longer trailer up now. It looks worse that the short one. |

They’ve already had/decided to replace yesterday’s trailer with a new version, where Roger’s t shirt on arrival at the airport in Japan has now been airbrushed a plain purple in place of yesterday’s ‘land of the rising sun’ design. |
mooghead 15.05.2018 19:13 |
Why have they made Freddie look like this? link |
Marcos Napier 15.05.2018 22:30 |
FBG means "Fat Big Giant", aka the Ogre. |
