What stood out to me is the line in the official blurb saying:
".... and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness,..."
Is this the first OFFICIAL confirmation that Freddie had contracted HIV by the time of Live Aid??

That Rami looked liked a 14 year old kid pretenting to be a rockstar. He is so thin and really looked like smeagol from Lord of the Rings .
Reminds me Very much about the kids in the Miracle video.

The illness is Aids , the virus was contracted in New York days 81/82 according to Freestone.

Very true. He also has slightly odd, bulging eyes, which bear no resemblance to Fred. It's going to be hard to suspend disbelief for this movie when the lead character looks like a joke impersonation of Fred.
Not worried about Rami looks.. more worried about his singing. When even the best singers in the world have difficulties to pull Freddies songs off... Stick to lipsynching imo. Take outakes of Freddie, if u wsnt it to sound slightly different.
Ending with live aid... well who doesnt like that?!
About looks. Is it important that they look exactly the same? I dont think so. The most important thing is that he gets the acting right. And about the singing: Marc Martel is doing most of that. I am not worried at all about the live performances in this movie.
Yesterday I was talking with Freddie Mack about the movie. It will be horrible....oooh if Brian would listen to Cohen, we will have a movie directed by David Fincher!
Rami said in an interview that Brian has seen the movie.
The actor, 36, said he wanted to be “very modest” about his performance, which he thought was “good,” but made sure to note that Brian May, the lead guitarist of Queen, saw the film a few days ago and emailed him to say how “moved to tears he was and how if Freddie were here today, he would not and could not be more proud.”
Hope that's a good sign.

Unfortunately it's coming from the same guy who paused DAPPY and Lambert before he proved well with even ballads
He could be just saying it but I would have thought if he hated it he just wouldn't have contacted Rami. Maybe he felt he had to, who knows, but I'll reserve judgement until I've seen it, I'll just keep my fingers crossed.
