Queen made some brilliant promotion videos for there singles, but which one is your favourite? It is a tough question as i have a few favourites, "Hammer to Fall" "Friends will be Friends" "we are the champions" so which Queen video made your spine tingle and why?
Princes of the Universe, because it was shown on british tv(The Whistle Test),and it was a phone vote against Bruce Springsteen,my dad would only let me vote twice,& 'Queen' won!
/\ Mr mason!
I remember that night, especially when the presenter announced the result ; 'And Queen beating Bruce Springsteen out of the water' - it was a landslide!
Pre-80s... Crazy Little Thing Called Love is by far the best of them. Before i get panned - it was released in 1979. Stylish, tongue in cheek, a the first real Queen promo video...
Post 80s... 1. Innuendo - not sure why this one doesn't get much recognition outside of Queen fanbases - it's a beautiful video.
2. Radio Ga Ga - this one sums up Queen's career. Larger than life, classic yet ahead of their time, from fantasy into real time in seconds, time traveler rock.
3. I Want To Break Free - not much to be said of it other than... this was released in 1984. Watch it and remember that this was released in 1984. Fucking brilliant. Those women had balls....er...hmm.
4. Princes Of The Universe... The mic is mightier than the sword.
5. I'm Going Slightly Mad... sadly... when you have lemons make lemonade. They did the best with what they had and made the coolest Queen video in the cannon. This one is my favorite - but the concept is too loose in my opinion. They basically made the lyrics come to life. It's the Happy Hands club but waaay more expensive and definitely in good taste.
Brian Roger & John detested the video for Its a hard life, but it does come across very decadent and regal !
I do not like the video for "These are the days of our lives" as it is very upsetting to watch as Freddie is obviously shivering and in pain.
Not many rate the video for "Tie Your Mother Down" but its great and classic Queen!
yeah on the hard life video Roger says something in johns ear as they come down those stairs looking hacked off,
but Freddie is having a ball with Barbara Valentin!

Mine is the Dead On Time video shown on the Old Grey Whistle Test
That isn't a Queen video.
The whistle Test production team used a film from the BBC archive shot in 1953 of a London to Brighton train journey. The film was speeded up making the one hour trip last four minutes.
BBC always treated Queen with unfairness.
Even on Top of the Pops they used to finish the show off by letting the studio audience dance to Queens music, and they refused to play the promotional video, i remember this went on for a while.
The song in Question was "Another one bites the dust"
