link Along with Tina Turner, Neil Diamond and other classic artists, Queen will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Grammys this year. This is a deserved honor (as they were honored with the BRIT award two decades earlier), but some people wonder if John Deacon will show. What'd you think? |
cmsdrums 09.01.2018 21:03 |
Course he won’t |

Of course he'll show up (Adam) and will get a thank you from the stage. John ought to....and come out in those same ball shorts from Wembley. And people wonder why they called em grandfather clocks |

If you're past a certain age shorts are simply not long enough to contain the sac with croquet balls. Just thought I'd share that interesting titbit. |

It would be nice if John decide to come, he is also part of Queen's history. |

In the text of Queenonline, in the text there are two errors. The solution below, at the end. Queen In a career spanning more than 40 years, Queen has amassed a staggering list of sales, awards, and hall of fame inductions that is second to none. Their impressive string of No. 1 albums and top-charting singles continue to put Queen in the Top 10 of all-time iTunes sales. The band has received multiple Ivor Novello Awards, an MTV Global Icon Award, and two recordings enshrined in the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame®—"Bohemeian Rhapsody" and “We Will Rock You”/“We Are The Champions," which also remain popular songs at sports events and arenas around the world. Recently, Queen became the first artist ever to sell more than 6 million copies of an album in the U.K. with their Greatest Hits album. Even with the tragic loss of their uniquely talented frontman Freddie Mercury, Queen remain one of the most revered bands in rock and pop history, able to claim one of the most enduring song catalogs of all time. With their sterling songcraft, virtuoso musicality, and colossal spectacle of their live performances, Queen—John Deacon, Brian May, Mercury, and Roger Taylor—captured hearts and conquered charts like no other band in history, a legacy that continues to live through the ongoing work and concert performances fronted by May and Taylor, presently joined for concert performances by the extraordinary American vocalist Adam Lambert. . . . . Bohemeian extraordinary :) :) :) |

Had to pop AL in there.................just horrible..................... |
mameolo 10.01.2018 20:38 |
I'm more concerned about who's performing what for them than Lambert, as a concert and further ceremony is taking place in the summer. Please don't have someone bad do a tribute.. |
flash00. 10.01.2018 22:46 |
Brian will no doubt perform ten different versions of we will rock you, finishing off with the fast version of Two Fux, followed with how much he loves celebrities who like Queens music. |
mike hunt 11.01.2018 15:04 |
Adam should be there...not that John Deacon guy. Adam helped create all those great songs. Seriously though, This is about Queen not Lambert. He shouldn't even be mentioned..not being a hater, just my opinion. |
flash00. 11.01.2018 15:41 |
Quite ironic considering Queen never won one Grammy in there entire career, clearly the Grammy's didn't consider their music good enough for an award, just as Led Zeppelin never won a Grammy. It's pretty obvious AL will be performing with Brian and Roger i mean who else will sing We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions ha, I don't think Deacon will show up I just can't imagine he's a fan of these Queen+ shows especially after his remarks about Robbie Williams with Brian and Roger years ago. |

Yea, just like bands like Sabbath who bashed the Rock n Roll hall of fame for years only to kiss up to them when they got Inducted. Let Queen enjoy what they earned. Longevity of their music is why they get praised these days. Doesn't matter what the media and critics said in the past. Queen proved them wrong. End of story. |

Maybe John will surprise everyone during the end of the We are the champions performace, and come out wearing Freddie's old crown. That would be legendary. |
matt z 13.01.2018 04:56 |
I honestly don't see them doing anything as QUEEN; it'd be HISTORIC if John joined them again for a song (*just the THREE) probably TATDOOL...segue into TIE YOUR MOTHER DOWN. But i don't expect it. I expect a collaboration. Tina Turner is getting the same award. ..i expect Beyoncé to be there. I expect a Beyoncé/AL duet with PROUD MARY |
mike hunt 13.01.2018 20:31 |
I actually look forward to this...Could be fun... |

Loving some of the comments hilarious ha. I wonder how many celebrities at the Goonies I mean the Grammys mumble to themselves ffs at Brian and Roger peddling We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions again. You would think Queen never made any more music after The Game album in Brian's out of touch mind, he'll be buzzing that celebrities will be listening to the gift from god singing WWRY. Regardless of what Brian and Roger do the gift from god will be singing, let's hope they both don't stand in the background like they did on James Corden's TV show as if it was Lambert's band and Lambert's music, all the attention will be on AL at the Grammy's and not the two old men behind him strumming along. Good for Mr John Deacon on staying away from Brian and Roger and the gift from god. |
mike hunt 17.01.2018 21:10 |
Would be nice if Deacon played with them one more time though....I do agree Brian and Roger lost the plot a long time ago. Can't deny that....but so did almost every other old band. |
Ivo-1976 17.01.2018 22:23 |
Not going to happen. John has left the Queen building al long time ago, at this point he can visit strip clubs on a regular basis without being recognized. And I have the feeling the relationship between Deacon and Maylor is far from great. They went seperate ways for a reason. I actually think that Brian said there isn't any contact with John at all. |
Dr Magus 18.01.2018 11:11 |
Deacon knew they were going to turn into their own tribute act circus so fucked them off. Good on him i say. |
Jake12 18.01.2018 20:54 |
I agree with Magus.. John was realistic he knew if Freddie was gone Queen was over. But then again I get Brian and Roger want to keep playing but they should have played in the concept of just BM and RT singing! It would work! As to John it was be a really nice surprise if he showed up and played at least just for this |
Sealion 18.01.2018 21:23 |
Will they receive the award at the "Grammy-Show" at all and thus attend it? I read somewhere that these lifetime-award-grammys come with a little tribute-concert in the summer. And that they aren't part of the actual Grammys. Is that wrong? |
