Any ideas of what Brian and Roger are planning for the new year.I would like to see a Live Killers Box Set including all the missing tracks and full versions of all the tracks. I can't see a tour ,but maybe an appearance at Glastonbury ! I don't really want to see the film now as I think its going to be really bad with all the problems it has had.Happy Christmas to you all and may 2018 be a good year for us all. |

Unless Queen release everything they have ever committed to tape, for free, delivered in person by the 3 of them (the proper 3) and all the soundboard tapes and everything in all of their personal archive then they are wankers who just don't listen to the fans. Actually.. everything everyone here has pretty much been saying for the past 20 years. I hope they release nothing just to shut you up. |
mike hunt 25.12.2017 23:04 |
No moog....Just a proper Anthology. Look at the Interesting stuff on NOTW Box alone. Now Imagine a raw session for every album? And unreleased material like face it alone... I think some of those unreleased songs could be finished with a guest singer. Even if they don't go that route, they still have plenty of interesting stuff like what we got on NOTW. |
GAP 25.12.2017 23:32 |
I’d like a short Anthology. I mean a Queen I & II Anthology so this puts together the raw and demos that the group performed from the early era. |

^also. Been saying it for years. They could steal the model from KISS and do their own version of KISSTORY: compiled footage and interspersed television appearances etc by each year documenting the band's development and changes. 4-5 disc sets. "Look at the Interesting stuff on NOTW Box alone." That people STILL complain about because they are hybrids of various takes or not the version that they speculate about being in existence. Why release product to an audience that is never happy? And why do people still talk about an 'Anthology'? The Beatles did it years ago, why have Queen fans latched on to this as some sort of thing? |
Rich Tea 26.12.2017 20:45 |

why are we latching on to the Anthology? Because Queen productions said In the mid 90's, Made In Heaven days that we would get a proper Anthology by 1999........that was my peak love affair with Queen and Remember reading an article by The fan club, I think Jackie was her name, or maybe if greg brooks was hired by then that we would get a big Anthology with lots of unreleased songs and demos, ect.....Fastward to 2017/18 and still nothing. Yea, lot of what would be in the boxset has been released already or leaked on youtube, but it's all scattered on different releases. Would be nice if it was all one set. I'm not so excited for the Anthology like I was back then....but It's the only thing that I would look foward to.....Queen recording with Adam doesn't do it for me, and I think we have enough live stuff. |

Live Killers/ Jazz Deluxe box Set including live CD recording of the Kampuchea show also included on Blu ray and or DVD. Clean up and add to Live Killers extended sleeve notes minus the reproduction tat, happy with another photo book with more rare photos but perhaps elaborate on some txt with interesting stories ect ect. If the NOTW box sold as they hoped perhaps they could listen and improve even further on the next set to be released. Cover all the outtakes/ demos/alternative versions and release the definitive collection of these 2 albums. Would also like to see a stand alone Houston release but feel this ship may have sailed. Think Brian may also take another look at solo box if touring not extensive next year. I would also like to see more from Roger either new stuff or re-visit solo/ The Cross live archive and put something out there as this was overlooked on the Lot. Having said all this i think we will get another Kerry Ellis release and a Queen + AL live set to keep us all happy...lol |

Any unreleased complete show(s) on dvd would be fantastic, in particular from the Live Killers era, but ANYTHING would be a treat, especially if something is unearthed from the late 70s /early 80s that we haven't seen before. Sadly, I'll not get my hopes up. |

2018 - Live Killers box set which probably will happen because they mentioned it a couple of times before. Un-cut Paris shows on video would be nice to have. 2019 - Full Hammersmith 1979 on blu-ray. There is probably no release I want them to release more that this. They like to celebrate 40th anniversaries these days so I really hope for this one. Plus another soundboard recording as a bonus from Crazy Tour. If not one of these then Hyde Park. |
bradbobly 28.12.2017 12:07 |
I would really like to see the 40th Anniversary cycle broken to be honest. Ideally come March /April 2018 would be great to see a live DVD/CD/Blu Ray of the Houston show ( poss with some extra goodies ) as a stand alone release to compliment the NOTW box set and then come November a nice Live Killers/Jazz combo Deluxe box set also including Hammersmith 79 which would round off the year nicely as far as releases go. But i will not hold my breath for any of this to happen as i guess it does depend on the success of the NOTW set if they go down this route again. |

More unheard Queen stuff, but not likely anything they'd release themselves - so I hope some thumb drives make it out of the Queen organisation with more good shit. I don't really want to be sitting here waiting for the actual members to drop off in order to get cool things out into the public domain, so leaks would do it for me just fine. |
Vocal harmony 28.12.2017 12:33 |
Look at what The Stones have done with their From The Vaults series, and the different combinations of release form whole box set to individual DVD's and CD/DVD sets. All very affordable. Just maybe Queen should follow them and do 76 through to 84 live sets. But 77 and 79 would be the two that would interest me the most. Its OK with talking about a Live Killers set and thinking it's going to happen because official sources have mentioned it, but official sources talked about the anthology and that hasn't happened. I'd also like to see more NOTW type boxes released but at a lower price and devoid of filler that fans and collectors already have. As for Queen + a live CD/ DVD from the current tour. A studio album seems unlikely simply because the have a vocalist who can go to places their writing no longer can unless they hook up with a producer and engineer who are forwarded thinking and are willing to tell them that something is below standard and push the point. |
bradbobly 28.12.2017 13:33 |
The Stones 'From the Vaults' are good examples as you have mentioned of how the live shows could be handled. The Bootleg serious could be re-looked at and possibly re vamped with not only a comprehensive digital format but also CD and DVD keeping everyone happy. Although i would happily pay for a top notch deluxe 'Complete Live Works' box set covering shows from start to finish of their touring career including solo/ The Cross/ guest performances. Now that really would be great in my opinion with each tour represented ( without the reproduction tour tat ) However quality sound and performance will always remain a stumbling block as to what gets released and what gets left in the vaults sadly. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a productive year of releases either band wise or solo ( Brian ) Personally not interested in a new album with Adam but would purchase a live CD/DVD of recent tour if released. |

Honestly, I don't think that 2018 will bring us that much intrresting stuff, but hey, they also suprised me with the anniversary edition of NOTW last year. Probably something movie related release and a release from the Queen + Adam Lambert tour too. Unfortunately I don't see a Jazz anniversary edition happen, but maybe some celebration for the Miracle. There are however tons of releases they could consider: The long rumoured Live Killers is one of them, but for me it's hard to imagine what could be in it. I don't see them releasing a box with multiple live recordings (CD/LP/Blu-ray) in it at once. Probably an ANATO anniversary can be expected in 2020, which in my opinion could be awesome! One CD with the standard album, one CD with demo's and outtakes and one CD deconstructing Bohemian Rhapsody (demos, outtakes, isolated multitracks from only Bohemian Rhapsody. This all to be acompanied by a realease of their ANATO thank you concert at Hyde Park. A Japan 70's live boxset with CD's and Blu-rays of concerts from each tour in Japan during 1975 - 1979. A Japan 80's live boxset with CD's and Blu-rays of concerts from each tour in Japan during 1981 - 1985. And a lot more to think/dream of... |

With the movie set for a Christmas release I can't see them doing anything that isn't connected to that. Bound to be a soundtrack album and probably a new greatest hits to tie in with the movie. If they surprise me with a jazz raw sessions disk I'd be quite happy. The Live Killers box set would be my hope, but I figure IF they do anything, it will be Jazz this year, Live Killers in 2019 and The Game deluxe box set in 2020. |

My predictions: A compilation album will be released with the movie. What will they call it this time? Bohemian Rhapsody, Music from the motion picture soundtrack? Stone Cold Classic Absolute Hits? Greatest Definitive Platinum Hits? There will be nothing Jazz-related, cuz that album bombed (for Queen standards). Pretty much why ADATR never got special treatment either. Barcelona 30th anniversary re-re-release with and without actual shitty orchestra (which Freddie didn't have the balls to hire at the time) What i hope to see: Queen + Adam Lambert album Live Killers boxset + Kampuchea concert on bluray + inflatable midgets with bowls (for my cocaine) |

I'll say a final tour type of thing.....and why not a new record from Brian and Roger? People forget what great songwriters they are...Judas Priest are releasing a new album in March. Halford is 66 And Glen Tipton is 70. The last record May/Talyor did was TCR, that was released in 2005? In 13 years I would think Brian wrote at least a few good songs. Roger released a solo album, but I'm sure he has a few songs left in him. |

Queen - The Videos Blu-ray including -all music videos remastered & reassembled using the highest quality source available. -outtakes - commentaries ported from the DVDs - remixed 7.1 audio We know they already have HD transfers of the film elements from the bits we saw on the DOOL and Great Pretender Docs; it's just a matter of releasing it. The current transfers on YouTube and DVD are dreadful. Maybe they can even do a 4k UHD steelbook release for extra money as a gimmick. I would buy :) |

Jesus, no. The "short promotional films" should be for each Super Deluxe Edition of each studio l.p. They should not be available in one set...sheesh. |
AlexRocks 13.02.2018 00:45 |
Matt Z IS correct about the Transvestite editions AND he is allowed to talk about it without having to go somewhere else. As long as he at least pretends to be an adult. :) Otherwise "Live Killers" needs to be fixed because it is unprofeesional and sounds like it was recorded from outside of the building...a block down the street. Jesus. And no not the song. Yes a new studio l.p. with QUEEN + Adam Lambert with a proper long ass tour behind it. Every studio l.p. should eventually be made into Super Deluxe Editions that are hours full of goodies including instrumental jams and re-records as well as re-recordings with guest super stars! :) They should all be packaged like "The Solo Collection" by Freddie Mercury released in the year 2000. There should also be a straight up re-release of that box set before a new one is done a few years down the line. They should also release the secret cremation footage where it looks like Freddie is waving good-bye with the bonus features of the ashes being scattered where ever. PLUS bonus footage of his house being cleaned up and let's see what's some other crap. Oh! I know secret hidden footage of Brian and Roger having gay butt sex. |

I don't really want to see the film now as I think its going to be really bad with all the problems it has had.Happy Christmas to you all and may 2018 be a good year for us all.LIVE KILLERS had an undeserved bad reception from the very beginning, long before discussions about "missing tracks", "incomplete versions" and "unprofessional sound". It was a most superficial and mean evaluation done by people with a large spectrum of disappointments, and clearly with different aspirations, musical or otherwise: the band was not going in the right direction, the legend started to fade, the sexual issue became annoying, the new musical landscape of the imminent 80s etc. It's strange how people who were not even born by that time have the same complains today. Or not that strange, if you consider the human nature does not change. As a real fan, I stick to my good impression from 1979. And I don't subscribe to the notion of "omitted tracks", as appears in wikipedia entry, because it intentionally suggests failure, neglect, or one of the "countless shenanigans pulled throughout the years". |
Vocal harmony 13.02.2018 14:38 |
They defiantly omitted tracks because the running time on vinyl wouldn't allow the full set to be presented. There is no denying that songs were played on the Jazz tour that are not on the album. The production is all over the place, ranging from lively, hectic full of concert hall ambience down to close mic'd almost studio sounding bits. The edits and audience fade outs spoil the continuity and the re jigged running order of some of it sounds odd if you attended any of those shows. I don't dislike the album and the bits that capture the excitement of the gig are great but I completely understand why the band in interviews have said it could have been better. They recorded a lot of Jazz tour shows, maybe a "new" live album that presents a complete show from that tour could be released as part of a Jazz package. To restore the missing songs to Live Killers wouldn't be the same album |

All videos on DVD? A concert? I doubt they will do Jazz 40th anniversary as that was the least successful album since Queen II. It's not liked by the band themselves. We're heading into the unknown this year because we normally have instincts. There might not be anything new this year apart from Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack. |
