Came across this short clip of Queen performing Is This The World We Created And it seems to be shot on film and was wondering if anyone know if there is more of this? Would be great to get this as a bonus or something else!
Interesting. This is Do They Know It's Christmas as it was broadcast on TV : link.
Open it in two browsers and put it side by side - different angles, filmed with different equipment. Was there a second at least 2 - camera team (one in the far back of the stadium, one in front of the stage together with the photographers) shooting a 16mm documentary about the event?
I also checked the ITTWWC clip, and it too is different from the broadcast / DVD version.
There was a BBC documentary about Live Aid that was shown at the time, I'm guessing around Xmas 85 that was shot on film. It had a lot of interviews but there was some on stage footage. The only thing I remember definitely being on it was a full version of Bowies Heroes, which I remember purely because it gave me absolute chills watching it. Don't remember much extra Queen footage but as it's just a memory of a tv programme from 32 years ago I can probably be forgiven. Anyhow, definitely some of the show was shot on film, whether it still exists is a different question. It did have different angles on the big moments. Bono dancing in the pit, Geldof holding his hand the air for an eternity. Its weird that I can't remember anything Queen specific. Or even the name of the programme. I had it on VHS at one point, but I threw out nearly all my VHS tapes years ago. They aren't much use now, especially as I've moved to Canada so can't play them here even if I can find a VHS player.
