Quite disappointed Italy didn't make it through, considering it's the first time they didn't since 1958, and only the second time in World Cup history that they won't be taking part. They didn't enter the first edition in 1930.
Had wanted to see Buffon perform on the world stage one more time, but looks like it will never happen.
I think I'm the only one who's glad Italy are gone! They're a bunch of cheating, diving play-actors who lose the rag when things don't go their way, and they have finally gotten their comeuppance. Good footballers, but they waste it with their shit mentality. Oh, and they cheated to put Scotland out a few years ago (not that I hold grudges :p)

I can't lie - few things make me happier than seeing Italian football fans squirm and cry. They are the most intolerable herd of fans in the entire world of sports.
The Italians are great crack and there's always lots of drama. They will be missed. This is the first WC they will have missed since Sweden 1958. They were denied a place in the finals when the mighty Northern Ireland beat them 2:1 at Windsor Park. There was even a riot. I missed the game as I wasn't born for another decade. I've never forgiven my parents for that.
