This weekend I've cleared out my room at my mum's (only taken me 25 years...) and I've found a huge amount of Queen stuff.
The main items I have are the gold 20-disc box set; the complete works vinyl box set; the Freddie Mercury solo box set; various 7" singles and cassettes.
I don't think the cassettes would garner much interest but the rest are all in amazing condition and the vinyl has never been played.
I've been looking online to see if there's a market for selling Queen music and prices vary so much. I've seen the vinyl on sale from £125-£600 and the gold box set from £300-£1500.
Can anyone suggest any sites that might be best to sell these items and suggest what might be sensible/realistic prices so they sell? I don't want to give them away but they need to go.
Thanks!!
Best thing you can do is accurately list all the items you have, with conditions etc. List the country, year and cat numbers if possible.
As a rough guide, your box sets are (in the region of): Gold cabinet £400-500, Complete Works £100-150, Freddie Box £150.
Popsike will give an idea of recent sale prices. You can list here, at the Facebook page Auction This Day, on eBay or Discogs for most things, although there's plenty more.
At first pass, I'd say the bottom ends of the ranges you give are likely to be about right, and the upper ends are wildly optimistic.
The first place I'd check would be eBay - using the 2sold" filter to check what people have actually paid
Thank you both for your replies.
The varying prices are quite ridiculous. One posting I saw started at £2,500 for the gold cabinet but every few weeks they kept reducing the price. It's now at £500 but they're very passive aggressive with their sale banter almost blaming buyers for not buying it at full price. Very strange...
I didn't know about the sold filter on eBay so I'll give that a go and have a look at the other sites mentioned too.
Thanks again!
