It will cost me $180 and change if I buy on Queenonline.com but won't because of the dvd region
What are you talking about? All the DVD's since Queen switched to Universal / Virgin EMI have been region free. That's why they're all formatted in NTSC.

other than Amazon.ca I have no other options here in Canada for the deluxe set no more HMV.
Aren't there any Sunrise Records stores near you? They took over many of HMV's former locations, even including the West Edmonton Mall location here in Edmonton!
It's around 215$ CAN on amazon.ca and for sure I'm not paying that price tag for a box set, especially for a News Of The World box set. Anyway, I'm pretty much done giving money to Brian May for uninteresting stuff while I still wait for a proper release of the Innuendo videos on DVD or Blu Ray. I've been waiting for 15 years for this and I think I'll die before I see it released.
Its showing $250 now on my Amazon.ca. Problem is other websites will gauge off Amazon and jack up there prices to match what Amazon is selling. I was thinking about ordering straight from Queenonline.com but with conversion to Canadian $ plus duty and taxes it will cost just as much what Amazon is selling. But I'll wait and search
Metallica is doing it right with there new Master of Puppets box set. Its cheaper plus you get more goodies with soundboard recordings and demos. plus it comes with a book. I bought Kill them All and Ride the Lightening-great sets for $150 bucks each
Well the fans did not support the songs from the latest tour so they were dropped and it was decided since they weren't interested...then there is no reason to release it in the U.S.
Yeah, the 20% discount because of not having to pay VAT on amazon.co.uk when shipping to Canada made it a worthwhile purchase for me. Just the lottery of whether ill get done for duties and taxes. Its really hit and miss, I didn't pay for Odeon or Rainbow sets or even the Hysteria box set, but just got dinged $16 For the Godley and Creme 5 disc set, and that was only $30 in the first place .

So a release that includes a documentary called "An american dream" but that has no US release...
Ah. ..good ol QPL; JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT THEY WERE BEING CIVIL (at the table) they spike hot sauce in your eyes and throw the bird at the folks sitting on the other side.
They REALLY know how to fuck with the hard core fans. That IS ludicrous!
I guess "WE" got the NOTW tunes (albeit for a couple venues) and you guys get the expanded album.
Maybe we'll get "THE BEST OF NOTW" featuring a remix and 4 of the 2nd DISC live tracks from 2011 reissued. Plus half the original album with voiceovers (commentary)
That'd be just as spotty....just like an old man at the table rife with senility
...maybe The commentary on WHO NEEDS YOU lasts 5 seconds.
Brian: "Ohh! This is John's song, really lovely pastiche"
Roger: "Right. Right. Well, he isn't here after all. ... (chair squeak) [noticeably lower voice] "suppose we find some audio of John talking. .." (**audio stays at low fidelity "hush" volume for remaining 3 minutes**)
I'm starting to believe the OP was right. It's not coming to the USA unless by mail order.
How odd. It's a legendary album, they just toured a tribute to it....it's got eye appeal and fantastic Artwork....so why not drop $50 off the price and sell it in stores?
It's a clear strategy.
Pump it out to the idiots in the UK and Europe and stay away from the USA where the listener is - presumably - more protective of their cash.

This is definitely going to tank in Europe too. Much too esoteric for the price - this is not going to appeal to the casual listener / non die-hard fan.
$150 ... The Rainbow box was $55 when I bought it when it was released several years ago and included four disks and the book and some minor extra goodies ... and if $55 was to much you could separately buy the music or video.
So ... the extra LP for Hammersmith is worth $95??? ...
Pony up stepfords ... ala carte items are not being offered.

Ok good news Amazon.ca has has the Box set at $176.29 CAD$
It is still too expensive as it should be the same price as Rainbow which was more appealing than that of the NOTW box set has to offer. I'm not buying it, I'm fed up with subpar Queen productions.
