Hello queenzoners,
I wonder if a lot of queenzoners will visit Innuendo back to tapes at Metropolis in London.
It is still on my mind as it sounds to be the only chance to hear unreleased material of this great album. I would like to hear All gods people a capella version. I hope that this recording will ever be released or will see light of day on the internet. ;-)
The ticket for this event is too high plus hotel plus plane ticket. Just the people with the big money will have a chance to enter holy ground where Innuendo did start life. Woow what great oppertunity for the die hard fans.
Im very happy with the RAW sessions of NOTW,
but very disappointed with this once in a lifetime event for only the rich people. Im waiting years and years to hear such a recording and you take it away for people who, maybe, honor Queen the most. F**k you "greedy" Queenmanagement. Im very curious if Brian and Roger support this. And more curious what Freddie whould have thought of ripping of people who have always been loyal to this great band.
First time I am seing this. I live in London, and even for me as a local the price is hard to justify. I am going to a gig already that day so even if I wanted to I will give it a miss as it means too much rushing around - despite being tempted I must admit.
Granted the proceeds go to the pheonix trust but it's just too expensive for the normal fan.
Shouldn't be any more than £100...
£350 on top of travel is horrific...considering that in reality, this kind of stuff should be included as extras in a box set or DVD
You'd think if they've got the stuff ready to go for an event like this it would be easy to roll out an Innuendo deluxe edition with 5.1, a remix and a disc of outtakes.
Two reasons for the price, one they need to pay to the studio time and people time, and two, frankly they don't want hundreds of fans there, they want older fans with money that will that are long term fans, not really your typical concert audience, If they wanted it open to evryone they'd have priced it differently and done it somewhere else

I'm suprised they don't throw in a CD for the event. I'm sure a lot of us would be willing to pay good money for a CD containing Innuendo outtakes.
And this isn't the first time they've put in a ton of effort for a one time public exhibition, but won't release the audio/video that people are hearing/seeing anyway.
Truly bizarre.
The high price is because its limited places I would be pretty pissed off if I paid that for something then some loser bootlegged it FOC.... The rest of us just need to have a bit of patience and perspective these things get released eventually for now we have an active bunch of musicians who are delivering a superb live show and I for one want to make the most of that while I can :-)
Rich Tea, re:

Indeed. Townshend and Daltrey are still touring with a great backing band.......
^they really are, aren't they?
I never took to Pino Palladino though. For what it's worth, i believe I could've done a better Entwistle-esque bass role.
But i do kinda get it. Why search for a wannabe or a parody.
But his music as part of the set was always such a fun thrill and change of pace
