What releases might see the light of day as part of the bio pic Bohemian Rhapsody next year? I think we will see another Greatest Hits release, as a so called soundtrack of the movie. Don't belive, that the queen vaults let out some new bits to make that movie even interesting for the world musically.
Soundtrack album featuring whoever is doing the voice on the live stuff. They can't possibly be using Freddie's real voice for the performance bits. AND they need to utilizE some sort of "state of the art" music for theatrical standards of today. 7.1, 8.1 whatever the damn thing is.
So. ...Brian and Tyler (*cough) will probably be hitting the studio in a bit with Marc Martel
Oh and don't forget the merchandise. It'd be nice to see the Magic Tour inflatables but you know. ...the film supposedly ends before that Tour.
I can anticipate READY FREDDIE shirts and loads of tees that I'll snatch up for cheap when they don't sell nearly enough.
Oh...of course: plush band guys.
Freddie looking like a Muppet where his mouth opens all the way back. (*animated by sticking ur hand up its. .)
John deacon with a fro plush
Brian with a lesser curl hair doll (*they'll get this wrong since HE should be the "wooly one")
Roger will be disappointed cause his plush will neither look like him, nor be attractive.
Mary with a suitcase full of money.
NOTW party napkins
If released in September, optional Queen band member outfits (FREDDIE ATE MY HAMSTER shirt would cost me about $60 to import over here)
Stuff like that.
And the RE RE RE RE RE RE RELEASE of GH. With disc 2 containing 5 remixes by Pitbull
I'm thinking the Queen and Bowie demo's may get a release to coincide with the movie maybe a polished track for a single release. Or Greatest Hits with a new remastered sticker on front and not forgetting Wembley ha
OST will feature 'movie remixes' which will then populate future reissues of the original albums.
If they were being 'catalogue aware', they'd collect all the Hollywood remixes and use them in the film as background music (the 'dance' ones would work a treat) or performance clips (the ones that were actual remixes of the track stems) and bolster them with new cast recordings or whatever.
But I should imagine the reason we don't get them again is because a) they are shit and b) they'd put cash into a 3rd party's pocket.
I think we can also expect the full original Live Aid performance, maybe new redone in UHD or something like this. Possible, that this is part as a bonus section of the DVD / BluRay release... maybe there are some official announcements by the band in the near future. Any involvement by John Deacon so far?
Maybe a five disc box set with a vinyl cut of the soundtrack; "alternate take" lead vocal disc feat. Marc Martel; GH I, II and III; and a limited edition print of Lambert for the first 1000 copies
