Another Roger (re) wrote: People on here are so negative. We have seen a couple of early pics, and that is hardly anything to go by at all. They are not even filming yet! It feels like some loves to be negative just for the sake of it. If anyone expects that everything is going to be 100% true to reality you will be very disappointed. It is a movie folks, not a documentary. I had to laugh when someone pointed out that the colour of the jeans werent the exact same. Oh please. One thing is for sure, I will not read anything on here when the movie gets its premiere. I want to watch it before being affected by the doom and gloom party that undoubtly will take place here. "Freddies beer on the piano was paler at Live Aid. Disaster!" He probably didnt have any beer on the piano at the day anyway. But who cares? For me Malek can do the role without dressing up at all. To me the most important thing is that he catches the essence of Freddie.

RafaelS wrote: The guy playing Freddie looks like Vlad the Impaler Tepes who had big round malicious eyes which doesn't describe Freddie at all. Freddie had magnificent eyes, this coming from a straight guy.

noorie wrote: MercurialFreddie is completely correct. He looks like a BAD caricature of Freddie! I wonder if Brian realises it! Wonder why they did not use Marc Martel. He looks and sounds like Freddie.

AMusicalProstitute wrote: I'm not sure... Who is singing in the video ? It does sound a lot like Freddie but the first "mama" and "now he's dead" sound a bit different from the original...Is that Marc Martel ?

I'm sure it will look good once it's been in the editing room. I think people on here are too harsh on Malek. There's little to judge him by at this point. Sure there are people who look more like Freddie, but is a lookalike what people want? Malek certinly resembles Freddie, from what I've seen now. If that's coupled with great acting, then I'm sure the final result will be good. as for the live aid audio, hopefully that's down to the source material being sub standard. Fingers crossed that the rest of the film will feature Freddie's voice

Chief Mouse wrote: The director and editor is gonna make it work I think. Besides, they probably do number of takes to perfect everything. What we've seen so far is the dirty dark side of the moon. Spot on comments about his face and looks though. Still, need to see the final product to judge properly.
