It's something! (i guess)
As for Metallica, they even allow anyone to download almost all of their shows from 2004 onwards, with a handful being offered for free.
EDIT: Anyone saw the details on that Master Of Puppets Deluxe Edition set?
Went to see Metallica this past summer on their Hardwired Tour and those were are indeed amazing. In their 50s they are still able to kick as much ass as they did back in their 20s. On an interview on Howard Stern they mentioned that it's indeed more physically challenging to play those songs at that age, but they've managed to get into an exercise and even a diet routine to keep going stronger, and they will keep doing it until they realize they just can't deliver to the crowd as they should.

simply put: INSANE
As much as I like Metallica (will attend their gig in Barcelona next February.), I'd love to be a real fan and feel legitimated to invest the money needed to put my hands on those amazing deluxe box sets they're delivering.
And then there's MetallicaTV: not only the full show in Canada, but plenty of other live performances, rehearsing and recording in the studio, etc etc
Don't forget Live Metallica: lotsa live recordings to choose from and download or purchase a CD of.
I've only just became a fan myself. Finally got into them throughout the summer and didn't look back. Would love to see them live one day
