Queen
Manchester, UK
Maine Road
July 16, 1986
This is a previously uncirculated third source from Manchester. The sound is pretty stable (even if a bit distant).
It's fun to hear the audience sing Freddie's name to the tune of Amazing Grace before the first encore.
All I've done is clean up the gaps between tape sides, and sped it up a bit. Acquired in the 1990s, some of the tape sides have fade-ins/outs through tape hiss, so this is a first generation copy at best.
Thanks to Brian's Wig and Thistleboy for the tape, and to the taper, whoever you are !

Thanks to all involved - this is the best source from the show I've heard.
This is one of the more underrated shows from the tour - some really great performances are on this show. Freddie also sounds better compared with the previous Wembley shows.
Whilst I supplied the tape, I'd love to thank everyone involved in getting it to QZ in this form: Brian's Wig, Pittrek and Bob!
I bought the tape in the late 90's, either at a fair or market, being told it was a "master" - back in the day when I was a naive new and young collector. Unfortunately, I don't have any history to share, such as taper's name, equipment used etc. I actually forgot I even had it until fairly recently!

Ooops. Sorry TB. I hadn't spotted that when I took the photo and sent it to Bob.
Embarrasment unintentional :-(
I'm not embarrassed lol - I wasn't the one who wrote it :p
I was writing football columns for various papers and websites around that time (tape purchased somewhere between '97 and '99 I reckon). I'd never have made a boo-boo like that ;)
