Which concerts do you prefer? What's your pick?
Apart from those 3 I would add:
1. link
2. link
3. link
But I personally can't find any Queen setlist which I dislike. Every tour and period has something intersting, from 1970 to 1986.
Mr. Bulsara: I believe you. :)
Chopin1995: Those 3 concerts (London 72, Rainbow 74, Tokyo 75) have the best setlist for you? In this thread you should choose your 3 favourite setlist.
Right. Every period has something interesting, but personally there is a few things I don't like. For example: I don't like change live killers/crazy tour to the game tour. They dropped from setlist too many good songs like: Don't Stop Me Now, Spread Your Wings, If You Can't Beat Them, Bicycle Race, Dreamers Ball, 39, It's Late, Liar (for nearly 3 years),Brighton Rock (full) and they add AOBTD, Dragon Attack, Play The Game, Need Your Loving Tonight, Rock It, Flash, The Hero, Battle Theme (flash medley). They even dropped You're My Best Friend after US leg.
I don't like also The Works Medleys because they cut songs who they had played before in full: Stone Cold Crazy, KYA, Liar, Great King Rat, Staying Power, Somebody To Love, Seven Seas of Rhye. I would like to hear 2-3 songs in full than those 7 songs in cut form.
I wonder why they probably didn't play It's Late on Crazy Tour but they played it in Japan 79.
pittrek: I prefer Newcastle 79. They played Liar (full) instead Brighton Rock (ending).

Those 3 setlists are one of the best for sure. I didn't want to pick the same setlists as you (they are obvious contenders :) ) so I added another 3 which I consider very interesting.
I personally like Works Tour medleys because it was the only chance to hear some 'oldies' in 1984 when you had to include new material. What's more it was done like never before. So it's always something different. Maybe they should rotate those old songs and play 2 songs on one concert and another 2 or 3 on the next one.
I agree that we lost some great songs after 1979 but again on the other hand we had a chance to listen some songs which were dropped really soon like Rock It, Battle Theme, Calling All Girls, Life Is Real...
Ahoy Rotterdam 1977, full blast! Leiden Groenenoord Hal, 1986, second show, and indeed Hammersmith Odeon 1979, but there more good concerts, as the whole second leg of 1978.

What's so special about the Leiden '86 setlist? Remember, this is about the best *setlist*, not great *performances*.
Leiden 86? Big Spender improvisation! Probably only 2 concerts in the 80s has Big Spender in the setlist! 2nd Leiden 86 and 2nd Wembley 86. Also unique football song with Freddie singing, gimme some lovin' improvisation (like Wembley and Mannheim) and full live version of Friends Will Be Friends. :)
