I'm principally a Queen fan (and have been for almost three decades) though I've supported QAL since the North American tour in 2014. I take this incarnation for what it's worth, not a by-the-book comparison with the shows that took place during the glory days of my youth. For anyone to give undue criticisms of any group, related to Queen or otherwise, is pathetic. So far, this forum has been a refuge for hardcore fans interested in conversation to escape the nightmare that has consumed QOL. The fact that it had stayed that way for so long, in my opinion, laudable.
While this is the case, is the pro-QAL propaganda that has recently emerged on here really necessary? I'm not talking about the gig threads that seem to pop up every now and then or general conversation about the recently-completed leg of the tour. This is all fine. I like and respect Adam, as many other posters on here do, but for what purpose do the "Adam is so goo" threads and animosity towards indifferent Queen fans serve?
If someone finds Queen + Adam Lambert boring, to each his/her own. I don't - so I won't respond that thread. Conversely, I feel there is no need to proliferate an agenda hostile towards skeptics of any degree. I'm not here to moderate, but please entertain my humble plea for everyone to take a deep breath, move on, and restore some sanity to this place.
Thanks.
With all due respect, doesn't everyone have a right to post in an open forum? If you see a subforum titled, "Adam is so goo," why would you even click on it??? Or for that matter, why would you even enter the Queen & Adam Lambert subforum if you are a diehard Queen fan looking for refuge in this cold, hard QAL world?
GrowUpGlamberts, in your post for us to take a deep breath etc you've managed to explain your own feeling about the Q+AL lineup/tour.
This is an open forum which is a place where open debate takes place, it is up to each individual whether or not they choose to respond, share infomation or critique a thread or opinion.
When you talk of an agenda and propaganda it makes it sound like you believe that a group of people are working together to undermine the opinion of others. We all have the ability to pick and choose what to read and what to reply too and indeed what subjects to open a thread on. It surprises me that anyone would feel the need to open a thread with the idea of telling members what they should and shouldn't do., I'd be more concerned with how unsympathetic some are to others views or opinions.
