What deep cuts were at your concert?
DC:
SCC
BR
GDML
YTMBA (taped transition)
Is it fair, in your view, to count IILWMC and LOML among these? I'm basing this on what's an enduring Queen hit (chart topper) versus what's in the program that if not a big hit is it then a deep cut?
If it's not on greatest hits, most people don't know it.
At both shows I saw, plenty of people were talking during LOML. I'd say most people in North America don't know the song, so indeed, it's a deep cut, along with IILWMC.
Add Last Horizon to the list too.
The audience in the Jersey gig sucked real bad (like in 2014, btw). Only Rock You, Champions, BoRhap and AOBTD (maybe FBG) got anything from them. Brian seemed underwhelmed and disappointed. A noticeable amount of people actually left their seats after BoRhap, apparently not knowing what an encore is.
Love of my life was super awkward. Almost zero audience participation. A far cry from the European gigs. Vienna 2005 is still the best I've experienced live.
Luckily, the Brooklyn gig was immensely better - still not a lot of singing but people cheered and looked overall excited. Both audience and band rocked that night.
I have listened to audio Streams from every show that I did not personally attend (I was at the Cleveland show) and all I have heard are excited and happy people with great responses after each number, especially after BoRhap and before the encore!

I was carrying on every song! I didn't hold back because I'm not going to miss my opportunity to enjoy a Queen/QAL program to the fullest. As to the people next to me and behind, sorry, but not sorry! Like I said I'm not going to miss my chance. Luckily the folks to my right actually had a pulse and we Queened it out together! Thanks mates! One even had "Queen" tattooed on the wrist, so yeah good company there.
As for LOML, I can't really help those who don't get it, but it does drive home the lyric "because you don't know what it means to me."
I ran into Pete Malandrone after the concert in Nashville, and that was the first thing I asked him after introducing myself. As to why "It's Late" & "Spread Your Wings" were out of the setlist, his answer was "They weren't going down well." As in the crowd was dead to them. Nice guy glad to have met him briefly.

I thought the two songs had a good reactions from what I've seen/heard.
They are celebrating the 40 year anniversary of the NOTW album by including the robot from the cover of the NOTW album throughout the show, so I personally hope that they bring back the two songs It's Late and Spread Your Wings. They were well received at the 9 shows where they were performed in North America and surely would be welcomed and loved in European and UK venues!
