Queen Houston, TX, USA The Summit December 11, 1977 This isn't my work (all credit goes to DJGreg), but it deserves a new thread to bring attention to how excellent it is. This show may end up on the News Of The World box set later this year, so until then let's enjoy what is undoubtedly the best version of this show at the moment. Here are his improvements that leave the old version in the dust: -added reverb -added a bit of compression -slight hiss reduction -EQ The result is a recording that sounds about as good as an official release. And on this version there's an extra bit of banter before White Man that wasn't on most previous copies. All I did was add breaks between the tracks (I think the original was just one long file, but the link is dead). And maybe someone could torrent this !? This is definitely one of the very best sounding Queen live recordings, so it should make its rounds. PAL VHS > DVD (0) > WAV (remaster) > FLAC level 8 Disc 1: 1. We Will Rock You (intro) 2. We Will Rock You (fast) 3. Brighton Rock 4. Somebody To Love 5. Death On Two Legs 6. Killer Queen 7. Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy 8. I'm In Love With My Car 9. Get Down Make Love 10. The Millionaire Waltz 11. You're My Best Friend 12. Liar 13. Love Of My Life 14. '39 15. My Melancholy Blues Disc 2: 1. White Man 2. vocal solo 3. guitar solo 4. Now I'm Here 5. Stone Cold Crazy 6. Bohemian Rhapsody 7. Keep Yourself Alive 8. Tie Your Mother Down 9. We Will Rock You 10. We Are The Champions 11. Sheer Heart Attack 12. Jailhouse Rock 13. God Save The Queen link Enjoy, keep it lossless, and DO NOT BOOTLEG ! |

I am listening to this again (VERY loud) and being reminded of how energetic Deaky's playing (and singing) is. All the little pops in GDML, the brief walking bass lines in TYMD, fast the octave runs in Liar, and his vocal contributions (WWRY slow at the end plus his usual moments). He rarely was so involved. Great show, thank you again. |

I would like to ask you about a favour - I'm searching the good source for my new remaster, it will be the Earl's Court 06.06.1977 gig, but it's a real problem to find the ORIGINAL VHS transfer, as: Snivlle Remaster is too bad because of horrifying hiss reduction, SnowProducciones version isn't as bad, but I prefer to work with the untouched sound. |

At a first glance i read " 1977" and "Houston" And thought OH MY GOD!!! they made the announcment finally!!!! but then i read the complete title.... Damn you Wizard!! Great bootleg mate!! thanks for sharing, and i hope this gig is part of the boxet, if not, it wont be a proper news of the world anniversary release. I just hope they don't fuck up this time as they have been doing it for the last couple of years! |

Just listening to it and the sound is really good. DJGreg - for Earls Court, do you have the lossless frank39 recording? If is direct transfer of the Keep Dancing tape if I remember correctly |
Saint Jiub 05.08.2017 19:48 |
Thanks Bob & DJGreg. This concert has always held a special place in my heart since I saw the concert video at a "Breakthru" (North American Queen convention) and was blown away. I fondly recall 12 years ago when an mp3 version of this concert was given to me and I shared it on QZ (after I begged for someone to share it and even desperately indicated that I would pay $50 for it ...). Now I have a better version, and I need not worry whether this concert will be included in the NotW box set (or heavily edited in the box set). |

The band really rocked too and even Brian's string break was superb :) |

Wow. Impressive list! Anyways - i managed to be justifiably significant until about the 13th hour and THEN i turned into a pest, The bashful, beautiful Iranian girl that i was talking to/coaxing turned into a stranger. The humor disappeared and i was left as an asshole knowing parts of 4 languages. What a shame. I think I could have absolutely married her. :*( |

Thanks for this. I only managed to download this today. I was unable to download from mega until I unblock the security settings in the chrome browser. I still have not figured out how to fix the problem in the firefox browser and the windows browser. The torrent system in QZ is not working anymore. In the tracker information line, it says "hostname not found". Previously it was just "off-line". The torrent system works for dimeadozen. So it is not my PC - it is QZ that is out. |

Sorry for repeating the question. Is this version in stereo? I always thought the original sound of mono tv. In youtube I see that there are songs that claim to be in stereo, but I do not know if they are real. For example, these: link link link Sorry for my english |
The Real Wizard 09.08.2017 17:27 |
That's just fake stereo. Not hard to do with even the most basic audio editors. |

Well, I took a look at the files from the mega links in adobe audition and... the waveforms strangely look nearly identilcal to a 2005 bootleg from wardour seemingly without the remaster and extra bit before white man that it's supposed to have. I'll share the links for comparison purposes: link link Are the shared files really the djgreg remaster? I've been reading amazing things about it and I'd love to have to have the warranty that this is indeed the right version since the original post's links are missing. |

He posted one giant WAV file, and all I did was split it up into separate tracks. I downloaded the version on the blog, and it isn't the Wardour bootleg. It is the version I posted here, just converted to mp3. The track lengths are identical. The Wardour bootleg was released in 2005, and it uses the audio from the old "green" copy of the video. |

Definitely the best version of the Houston show. The version I had downloaded before is far from having the same quality. This should become an "official" recording of the show. |
