3. Blue Rock by The Cross
4. No Turning Back by The Immortals
5. Electric Fire by Roger Taylor
and other...
Barcelona by far is my favorite. The rest I could live without. Most of the rest is forgotten and collecting dust at this point. A few Brian solo songs I still like. Another World and a few BTTL songs are really good though. Roger stuff I havn't listened to in ages.

I agree with almost every word. Barcelona wins by light-years. But I also really like BTTL album as a whole and always have fun while listening to it.
I do like BTTL but his vocals on that album are weak. Still my second favorite side project overall. Resurrection is excellent. Would have been an epic Queen song, but is lost on a forgotton solo album. Cozy kicked butt on that song.

Yeah. Brian's voice doesn't fit to sing hard rock, loud songs. He is good while singing delicate, calm, melancholic songs like he did in the 70s with some of his Queen songs. I think more songs would have been an epic Queen songs from BTTL like Let Your Heart Rule Your Head (reminds me of '39), the title track, Love Token,
no, wait!
Actually every track from BTTL would've been epic Queen songs. Imagine these songs with Freddie as a lead singer and Brian+Roger+Freddie harmonies... at least we have TMLWKY which I love :)

Obviously Freddie's Barcelona album.
Yep, no contest. Although I find side A to be stronger than side B. The former is brilliantly written and performed, while the latter seems more like inserting Caballe into Mercury's pop songs, and it doesn't come off quite as fluidly.
I'd have to say that Electric Fire is the next best on the list, with Another World coming in not far behind.
The rest of Brian and Roger's solo work all has moments of brilliance (like Resurrection and Foreign Sand), but overall it's less consistent. But I do have a soft spot for Fun In Space.
Top 3:
1. Barcelona
2. Electric Fire
3. Back To The Light
I like BTTL > Another World if only because it seems more cohesive to me. Another World felt like what it was. Take a half abandoned concept (Heroes) and put it together with other bits recorded over the previous couple of years. I know that in reality BTTL was cobbled together for a much longer period of time from different projects but it just felt better constructed to me. And I *LOVED* Just One Life. Not sure why, but it hit me in the perfect way at a perfect moment. And I don't see it get mentioned anywhere much. I thought it was a very haunting, honest piece. (I also love Nothin' But Blue exactly for what Wiz said - that divine bridge). And despite hearing it a ton at gigs nowadays, I still love Last Horizon. The only problem with BTTL is it does seem a bit Queen-lite. But that might be what drew me in as it was my first "new" Queen-related release. But overall I think I rate Rog's solo work higher due to it's different sound...and I like Rog's voice better. And Electric Fire was his best work by far. It felt current and vital, with some great performances. I also dug Happiness but put it one notch below due to too many songs sounding similar. But on top of both, Freddie's Barcelona was a masterpiece of songwriting and performance.
