Wanted to make a proper version of this for a while. So the colours were way off and the usual MPEG artifacts. Just like with Rock Montreal colours, one fix didn't suit all, it needed to be adjusted per scene but the result is well worth it, me thinks. The colour correction is subjective as always though. So yeah, with some cleaning and a bit of sharpening hopefully it looks better overall. https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/4ab0/awdstknwsubet3q7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/79b1/6f1sx1s0rc3ogwc7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/ef14/b79z41gnuq84qb07g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> John grooving :) https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/7c1b/4vbqqomfi19juru7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/a51f/2ea659v8b3s9eay7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/ebe8/4bf93h33yavcqgy7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/b4f9/j1apcsrriaiiw4j7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> Edit: So, I finally received a fairly good version of Magic Years. Not the full documentary yet but the One Vision part. So a big thanks goes out to Innuendo1k who kindly sent me his NTSC DVD file. Thanks also to Dave76 for posting an MKV version, but unfortunately it turned out inferior so I didn't end up using it. I converted it to PAL, enhanced the image, attempted colour correction. All in all, did my best to match it to the DVD version. It looks a little bit worse but I'm fairly satisfied, it works quite well together. The length has increased from 19:11 to 21:22. I didn't include all of the splitscreen interview bits at the beginning 'cos I thought they interfere with the actual sessions footage, besides they hardly provide any unheard information. Comparison of Magic Years bit versus GVH DVD bit which plays almost right after. https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/1e1a/s9jxjd5ckd48a1j7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> And a random screencap from another Magic Years bit - https://www.mediafire.com/convkey/82a9/l13ti217m1uxb9e7g.jpg" border="0" alt="Simple, Free Image and File Hosting at MediaFire" /> https://mega.nz/#!6EJSGQqb!ZNa4AIkh4E7nCBKYmOqjDzJVDvx68GR55vVXg0dqk-A . |

Absolutely amazing! I don't know if simple 'thank you' is enough. Chief you've done such a great work through all those years with all these videos. We all are very lucky to have you here! Thank you so much :) |

What a shame it's so heavy. Maybe some day I will download it. Thanks for the incredible piece of work that you make with this videos. You don't know how valuable your works are. You're the best Chief. Thanks again. |

You're the best Chief. Thanks again. Well, it's a long video and we don't want to compromise the quality. Otherwise why would I be removing the DVD compression artifacts and introduce new ones :-) For film based videos I'm lately going for 6000-7000 bitrate to preserve the subtle grain. Video tape sourced videos will be lighter in size. Anyway, thanks Gabriel. |

Does this include the segments that only appeared on Magic Years? |
Chief Mouse 02.07.2017 15:01 |
No because I haven't found a good version of Magic Years. We need a laserdisc transfer. Or a very good VHS transfer. If anyone has one, let me know. Otherwise I didn't want to pollute this video with subpar bits only for completeness sake. |

Another great job ... as always! :) will it really be the final version? Maybe or maybe not ... definitely it's a point of reference for every fan ... watching some videos on youtube like this link we can see some other unpublished ... The beginning is partially seen in the documentary days of our lives, but here it is in 4:3 full frame and longer ... what is the source? I do not know... :) |

I do not know... :) Thanks but it won't be worth the time and effort to go through all this once again. It takes quite a bit of time :) Besides I'm not sure where this bit would fit in there really as far as actual recording process and editing. The documentary already has a certain structure. Now, if we had a footage of the whole band entering the building, maybe it could work that way. But that's not the case here. |

Yes, i can understand, it is true... however this little video is another surprise from web... there are no official releases with it... maybe a DoRo doc? |
