| Chinwonder2 04.05.2017 16:08 |
Here you guys go, the (hopefully) finished product! Here's a preview for you: I managed to get in contact with Barry who was more than cooperative in transferring a better DVD rip of Queen. Big thanks to him! He claims that it belongs to one of the first few nights in New York but he cannot remember exactly. Here it is: https://mega.nz/#!sB0FEQqa!s8mgwMtlArYPgQalbrMe3W5VwGZ0JP1YGwYVNA3TTCY Here's a copy of the raw transfer WITHOUT audio: https://mega.nz/#!INdGQYLQ!t-NGsmciTceWoZT5b5BczeKF5S8BwVVXjS0ARGS0Qlo Enjoy!! -Chi |

Far out! How you (or anybody else) can manage this with such precision is beyond me. QPL should have you on the employ list for future releases (if any) Thanks |

Wow, an unknown Queen 8mm? Can I ask what was the source for it? And thanks for the share |
| NickESB 05.05.2017 02:52 |

Funny, after years of searching for a new 8mm film I never expected to find one on the official youtube channel :-) Thanks again |

pittrek wrote: Funny, after years of searching for a new 8mm film I never expected to find one on the official youtube channel :-) Thanks again Yeah, the YT channel was the last place I ever expected something new like this to be uploaded. Hopefully this is a sign of great things to come and hopefully not a one off. Still, it's in great shape for being over 41 years old! :P -Chin |

Brilliant! Thanks :) Easy enough to download the original off YT, extract the audio from yours and remux.... Er, does this count as sharing "official" material on QZ though? ;-) LOL |

Thank you. |

brians wig is trying to say that no reencoding was necessary. Just demux the original YT vid and mux it with you new audio. Voilà! KeepVid it's the best place to download YT videos, unless you want to download 1080p vids, which for unknown reasons KeepVid is unable to download. |
| pittrek 05.05.2017 12:12 |
I always use jDownloader2. It allows you to also download 1080p videos |

Still amazing. Proving time and time again that the folks here on QZ should be employed by Queen Productions for Art, continuity and archiving. |

Poster of this concert. According to this poster, a concert was scheduled (on the 6th), those of the 5th and 7th, and finally the 8th of February. I'm not 100% sure the poster is real. Does anyone know? |
| little foetus 05.05.2017 15:29 |
I think it is a fake, posters like this from many bands were created through years. I have another one for the 3 NYC nights in 1980. |
| people on streets 05.05.2017 16:09 |
ofc the poster is a fake. |

Does anyone know?Absolutely fake. Those fonts started existing decades after the concert, as the treatment that everything has it's very amateur and from past the 90's. |

Chin - great job. But I'm pretty certain the clip you've got as The Prophet's Song is from earlier in the show, as the filmer has already moved to his new angle by Son And Daughter. I'm trying to follow Deacon's line, but I can't place it - but maybe it's Flick Of The Wrist or Brighton Rock? |

From looking at the Hyde Park footage and trying to match stuff, I paid closer attention to the colour of the lights. This of course may mean nothing but here's a good stab at what Freddie is singing. As you said, it could be either BR or FOTW, so here's the clips of what I think it could be: -Chin |

I'm officially stumped. We've got it about 90% right, so that's still pretty good. |

What a great moment in Queen collecting this has turned out to be. And to think QPL were even a player in this. Thanks to everyone involved. It's funny, I immediately noticed it was better quality upon watching it, and I hadn't yet read this updated post of yours (but of course it's easy for me to say this now in hindsight !!). Is it the only Queen show he filmed? |

Chinwonder2 wrote: He claims that it belongs to one of the first few nights in New York but he cannot remember exactly.I'm 99.9% certain that it's not Feb 6. During White Queen (@ 1:48 of the latest synced version) you can see Brian play something lower on the neck, and then he quickly stops to tune. Until more recordings pop up we just won't know for sure which night this is from. |

@TheRealWizard This is the only Queen concert he filmed, he mentioned that during the summer he's had someone offer to transfer all of his film to HD. He said he'd get into contact with me again if that happened! I showed to him the available ticket stubs and he couldn't recognise any so we'll just have to wait and see. -Chin |

It makes one wonder how much more stuff is out there, waiting in the attics and basements of the world. No doubt there is a ton. |
