Does anyone know where this came from. I remember seeing this at a friend's house in Connecticut in the late 70's. |

Ah... if only i still had my PC with editing software The first two minutes scream out for "air raid sirens and loud speaker propaganda, bomb explosions and machine gun fire" |
Chinwonder2 03.05.2017 09:19 |
This is great footage and fantastic quality too. Anyone know what night it's from, there's 4 nights and only 1 audience recording :( Hopefully, this is a sign of great things to come! Here's a download for anyone who'd like it: https://mega.nz/#!INdGQYLQ!t-NGsmciTceWoZT5b5BczeKF5S8BwVVXjS0ARGS0Qlo -Chin |

Post footage of a concert with no sound!! How come nobody else thought of doing that??" |

I'm very surprised that Queen uploaded stuff like this. wonderful share :) |

I'm going to upload a quick audio version that I've created using the 2nd night's audience recording. This isn't great but I think it's a good stepping stone for those who'd do better than me haha. Who knows which night this footage belongs to because some of the audio doesn't match up 100% even after being speed-corrected. This is my first attempt at this kind of task, so constructive criticism is of course welcome! I also for the life of me couldn't figure out the last segment and which song it belonged to (sorry, '76 isn't a goto year for me live). Enjoy this preview here: -Chin |

Until 1:25 it's the transition into the Son And Daughter reprise, and until 1:29 it's the final fanfare of the song. Most of the White Queen clips are right. At 1:50 it's maybe a one second gap, as this is Freddie walking to the piano for the second verse. |
Chinwonder2 03.05.2017 15:54 |
Here's a better version, although I can't figure out these other two clips attached below. The last one is definitely during the encores as Freddie has his black leotard on. -Chin |
Chinwonder2 03.05.2017 16:00 |
Would the first clip be a part of The Prophet's Song do you think and the last couple of seconds be from Stone Cold Crazy? -Chin |

The last one is definitely during the encores as Freddie has his black leotard on.@ 1:04 of the first clip is indeed Sweet Lady, but it begins in the second verse at "you eat me up." @ 1:10, it seems like it's been greatly slowed down. It may even be the speech before White Queen. And be careful with the tape speed - it starts to get wonky by the guitar solo (and goes to hell by disc 2). I'll post a better copy of the audio if you'd like. I've done my best to neutralize it. |

Thanks! Although I don't think that White Queen clip is the beginning because he usually toasts the audience with a glass of champagne but he's only holding onto what looks to be John's microphone stand, like at Hyde Park: Also, I fixed the Sweet Lady part, so now just waiting for when (or if) you upload the better copy or when if Chiefmouse presents us with a 'surprise' :P -Chin |

Just wait til Roger and Brian find out about this...they''ll go ballistic that the official channel is wasting time posting old stuff like this, which no one could possibly be interested in, when they could be promoting Adam Lambert's latest shoulder pads, or a board game, or a bottle of vodka, or some hedgehogs..... ;-) |

If only Queen Productions would take note. |

One more. Dear chinwonder...what a wonderful job! Very clever and a real labour of love. Just a thought that the segment with the Sweet Lady audio with John singing is unlikely. He did however, sing in Flick of the Wrist (see Hyde park and Rainbow) |

If Brian and Roger started realizing that THIS is what the fans want to see/hear instead of another Q+AL tour or a boardgame or a greatest hits. I am also surprised and almost suspicious that this gem is allowed on the official Queen youtube channel to be honest. Roger is the one who always asks with every release "do we make any money out of this"? They would if they release something worth spending on like this lovely clip. And that's why "On Air" didn't sell that well as they expected. But i don't think they care, Brian's net worth went up to a whopping 125 million pounds and i've begin to feel that we will never see a box with outtakes, demo's and so on because what's in the vaults will probably stay there and collect dust and that's a shame because that's the stuff we would all pay for. |

What brilliant footage, and amazing quality. The added sound is a great enhancement. I'm not disputing the source of this, but I am wondering about the length. Most of it is filmed from the foot of the stage but at about 1:15 there is a wide stage view from the balcony, so is there more than one original source (two cameras) or were two shows possibly filmed (one from the front, on from the balcony). Is there more footage somewhere. It's great that QP posted this, I'm sure if it had sound it would have never seen the light of day. |

He sneaks back in a few songs later and films from a different angle. Considering the track listing, this is perfectly plausible. |
