Queen drummer and co-founder Roger Taylor insists the 2017 tour “will look entirely different to the show we took around before. Production has really changed a lot, the things you can do now, you have a much broader palette, the technology has really come along. But we don’t use it all. We don’t play to click track. It’s 100% live. We're planning on doing stuff we either haven't done before or haven't done for a long time. We started as an albums band, that's what we were. The fact that we had hits was just a byproduct.” Guitarist Brian May confirms Queen’s 2017 shows will have a more ambitious musical agenda. “The general public knows the hits, so you've got to cater for that,” he says, “but we can chuck in a few things that people really don't expect. We’ll do quite a bit more of that this time around. There are so many dimensions to Adam, which of course fits with our music. He can get down and do the rock stuff really dirty, and you have all those dimensions, and we can explore that even more.” |

Also, Tyler Warren of Queen Extravaganza replaces Roger's son on percussion. Will be interesting to see if any real deep cuts make it in the setlist. |

I am intrigued by the explicit reference to the 40th Anniversary of NOTW: "....The choice of performance material will no doubt acknowledge this year’s 40th anniversary of Queen’s biggest-selling studio album to date..." So maybe It's Late, My Melancholy Blues, Sheer Heart Attack??? Or maybe not! We will have to wait and see. |

If they wanted to heavily feature the album then I could see 'My Melancholy Blues', possibly Brian doing 'All Dead, All Dead' as part of his acoustic slot, and maybe Roger singing 'Fight From the Inside' with Tyler drumming on it. |

Ach. Such a large tour, but yet they still won't come even slightly close to the Westcountry, considering Roger's roots here, you'd think they'd at least get as close to Cornwall as Plymouth or Bristol. Birmingham is as close as they get, that's just ridiculous, they are ignoring a huge part of the country, just as they did last time. Well, I can't afford the ticket, as well as holiday time to get there, and travel costs and a hotel. Gonna have to sit this one out. Hope it isn't their last. Went to Leeds last year and it was a great show, but such a ball-ache to attend. |

If Brian Says: We can chuck in a few things. Don't expect too much folks.... maybe two a song or two I think. The rest is Greatest Hits playing I'm affraid. As Brian also stated in his Guitarist interview that he did with that guy Jamie. Quote: "I don't play the things that are hard and Not comfortable with these days anymore. Who in their right mind would play an outdoor show in December in the UK. The obvious reason there are no West Country shows is because there are no west coutry arenas. The tour is pretty comprehensive and I'm sure if there was a suitable venue they would have played. |

Went down early this morning to SSE Arena Belfast. Only the back of the arena and restricted view seating left, and I wasn't gonna pay £80 to watch a big screen and a couple of ants on stage, and I suspect Lambert would probably do my head in after a few songs.
