A rather obscure track I suppose, buried deep into the vast "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etakpPu_QJo
I definitely hear a strong resemblance in the lyrics, more specifically in how the featured character is described.
"'Said if I helped her thru' she could help me too, but I could see that she was wholly blind.
But from her pale face and her pale skin, a moonlight shined."
Not only is "Lilywhite Lilith" apparently pale, but also blind. And both songs place some emphasis on her walking at night:
"Lilywhite Lilith,
She gonna take you thru' the tunnel of night"
"The white queen walks and
The night grows pale"
Could it be that Peter Gabriel was inspired by the Queen II track, released a few months before "The Lamb" was recorded?
