Hey everyone, whilst currently working on my Knebworth Full Uncut project, I suddenly realised how much the DoRo crew actually shot on 16mm film and I am astounded how it's not been released yet, but that discussion is for another time. Be sure to let me know if I've missed anything or if one of the short snippet shots are incorrect! :P Here is a video which has every bit of pro footage I've managed to come across, here's a breakdown. 1. Footage of crowd entering the Knebworth Stadium grounds. 2. Footage of the band arriving in the helicopter. 3. Footage of Freddie warming up with Roger. 4. Footage of the band walking to the stage. 5. Footage of the near beginning of One Vision [CUT] (shot by ITV). 6. Footage of Is This The World We Created... (shot by DoRo). 7. Very short snippets of the ending of Boh Rhap (where Freddie nods his head and salutes). 8. Very short snippets of Hammer To Fall. 9. Footage of the 2nd chorus and ending of Radio Ga Ga. 10. Footage of the last 2 choruses of We Are The Champions. 11. Short footage of God Save The Queen. 12. Extremely short snippet of the stadium grounds darkening. -Chin |

Don't care about the nay-sayers and never developed projects, butI'm glad ppl are still personally interested in compiling this properly but honestly, until data sourced video renderings are achievable from a computer filter, the bootleg crowd cam is probably the only complete source for this. now in 100 years *(or far less) someone could MAP and render the stage from existing shots and create a digitally rendered version of this concert approximating reality. ... but the real question would be, why? and does it diminish reality? |

Very nice compilation. I had done something very similar last year and uploaded it to youtube. Unfortunately it was taken down. You are missing only two pieces of footage that i included in my video. 1- A snippet of the stage being built(not recorded on film but on video) - It was included on the hungarian rhapsody release. That had never been seen before. It is just a few seconds but you can tell is knebworth since on the halfway-built stage you can clearly see the jumbotron support. 2- A very short snippet filmed by doro of the begining of the concert. My money says The one vision tape was about to start, that gives the hint that doro indeed started recording from the very beginning. That camera angle is the same one that recorded the snippets of The world we created, Radio gaga and We are the champions we all have seen. At least one camera might have recorded the whole concert. Then we have another camera angle closer to the stage and right next to tv camera and that one started recording from Bohemian rhapsody(at least the end) and on. I wonder when the f.... are they going release whatever they have available from this concert. At least the audio would be nice to have. |

Is This The World We Created from Budapest? Although it's been a while since I've watched a lot of this - as a kid I thought that shot from the Magic Years where Freddie kicks the balloon is Knebworth but it isn't so I'm probably not the person to ask :) |

Still shocking to see John throw his bass into his amps. I'd never noticed that he then runs off stage too. Poor John. The footage of them walking towards the stage is beautiful! Can't help thinking Freddie's yellow vest clashes with his yellow jacket though haha!! This is all great footage - thanks for assembling! |
dysan 05.03.2017 05:59 |
He was late for his backstage blowie because Rog milked the outro. You can see Freddie look across at the roadie / whoever as he walks off. I'm guessing with an 'ooo look at her' expression. |
dysan 05.03.2017 06:02 |
Nope I stand corrected. The other angle shows concern. |
Chinwonder2 05.03.2017 08:41 |
@fr1986 I believe it's these shots, although I'm not 100% sure about the road crew segment after the big screen is shown, as it could be Mannheim?, if so, I could I have missed them! xD Thanks though, to everyone else, is that 100% all we have so far of Knebworth '86? :P -Chin |

I'd like to ask a quick question, is this Knebworth and if so what song as I can't seem to be able to locate it. Freddie has the white jacket on so it's after Who Wants To Live Forever. It's taken from David R Fuller's YouTube channel from a video called "Queen - Magic Years (Early Cuts). Here's the short clip: Also just worked out, this isn't Knebworth but Wembley 1st night: -Chin |

Lets be honest. We want pro shot footage of the actual gig or nothing at all. |

I'm getting really pissed off because i seriously just want knebworth!! Weather it's just audio idc. Obviously video would be great! Especially the Doro footage remastered. But idk I've given up hope. I JUST don't get why they don't release any of it. I just want a reason why! |

Also how about the helicopter shots?? I have a question for anybody here that has actually attended to the concert that day. Does anybody know for how long the helicopter remained flying around?? I think you could hear it during under pressure in the bootleg(or it might have just been another casual helicopter passing by) that could let us know how much of those panoramic shots might exist. There is one shot from the helicopter i recall having seen in the show must go on video. |

I'll be very brief. The footage known to exist - Status Quo arriving to the venue - Whatever You Want (beginning and end) - Rockin' All Over the World (short clip) - brief clips of the helicopters flying and landing, found in various death reports - short clips of the audience (could be during any time of the day) - used for the death report about the kid who got stabbed there - One Vision - you got that right - Is This the World We Created - looks correct - Tutti Frutti - the last seconds - bits from the gap between Bohemian Rhapsody and Hammer To Fall - you got it - Hammer To Fall - you got it there - Ga Ga, Champions - you got it, but I always thought the bit from 10:20 is from a different concert. But it's just a feeling. What will be the result, another youtube video containing mix of these bits and the audience footage? |

I propose - Somebody to make, ADDITIONAL, super-fan-clip "Radio Ga Ga", using ALL Pro-Shot and photos from Knebworth. This is - great potential. |

The only thing he knocked off where his other basses, but damn that would have been a big oopsie moment there. Quick question to Chin: Will you be using Pittrek's merge for the audio source? |

pittrek, no. Your file - it is for the main live video. Fine. This is the main task. But I propose (additionally) to collect from only Pro-Shot (for example - Champions, Is This The World We Created, helicopter, photo and so on) fan-clip "Radio GaGa" with sound from live "Radio GaGa" Knebworth ( with Audio from live album "Live Magic"). The song - large sounds and different video - large view too:) and memorable! |

It seems remarkable that Queen would pay DoRo to film a concert (or indeed anything Queen-related) but that Queen would not retain the automatic right to use that footage. Clearly someone is telling porkies here. |

MercurialFreddie wrote:It's great news, but we could be jumping the gun here. If that is all Rudi said and it was put like that it could mean anything. Did he film during the whole week of the site being prepared and the stage built, did he film Queens crew setting up lights, sound and backline the day before the show, or was it general footage of the day lots of crowd shots, general footage of people coming and going back stage. Interviews with bands, crew, fans. General film of the band, or other bands on stage but not complete performance of the gig or even individual songs.Jake12 wrote:That's great news ! Last gig of the tour yes, pressure of a live video being filmed at the last show, they probably didn't want or need the hassle. Last ever Queen show, at the time maybe the only person who really new that was Freddie! |
