i never liked the sound quality of this title, I think "bootleg race" sounds better....I can't wait to hear your remaster but unfortunately I have to wait until next friday but i'm sure you did a great job...

The basic idea was to match the obviously unbalanced spectrum of the source with a reference one, using HarBal. Took Live Killers as reference, but any pro recording long enough is suitable for Queen spectral signature. Live Magic has an almost identical average spectrum because the instruments and the song structure are the same over the years, despite different setlist and mastering.
The best effect of this heavy eq is a new dynamic range, increased from DR4 to DR9.

Interesting. Nice to see Live Magic being used as a quality benchmark for a Queen live album. The content is one thing, but sonically it's my favourite Queen live album.
If you'd like to do any others, 4-30-75 and 4-13-79 are at the top of my list - both are excellent shows.
