Oh no. Oh shit all that crap again? |

I'll be in Philly, but please switch up the set list. |

good for the guys. I still might go. just to see Brian and Roger of course. wonder if they'll be touring THE COSMOS ROCKS II crud. .... they're playing the bowl. The Hollywood bowl is an institution, but it's sound is usually terrible. :-/ depending on prices I may go. |

Groaaaan! |
Ivo-1976 26.01.2017 13:54 |
Might very well be the last USA tour. Enjoy it while you can. I expect the final tour to be in Europe though. Set list: Mostly greatest hits of course, a bit more 70's rock, a bit less 80's pop since it is in the USA. Maybe 1 or 2 new tunes, who knows. |

the return of BODY LANGUAGE - HEUGH, HEUGH! |

matt z wrote: the return of BODY LANGUAGE - HEUGH, HEUGH!I'd welcome Body Language just to hear something different. Instead of dusting off old songs that were part of their live shows back in their heyday, which would be great since it's not the same old same old, how about trying something that was never played live before? Or something that was packed away after 2-3 performances? Anything other than IWTBF, TSMGO, IWIA, FBG and so on. Wishful thinking? Of course! Looking forward to it regardless! |

can't wait I'm gonna catch a plane over to see them in New York, going for holiday for a week as well! |

Good excuse to fly to NY. LHR>>JFK>>LHR |
Cruella de Vil 26.01.2017 22:31 |
Yeah, let's try a Adam/Roger duet on Drowse, or maybe Dead on Time, Tenement Funster, Sail Away Sweet SIster....(dream on). Probably be the same songs I fear. |
Arnaldo "Ogre-" Silveira 27.01.2017 03:31 |
Hurray! :D |

Oh dear....... more people are going to have to sit through the Brighton Rock solo. Half-full auditoriums. Dull set lists played the same way they have been for as long as most of the audiences can remember. |
matt z 27.01.2017 09:18 |
^Yet still its new to SOME audiences. Sail Away Sweet Sister might fit in there on Brian's solo set. Those are the things I'd appreciate. I really think Adam's take on the great jam track Dragon Attack is phony and atrocious. Same goes for We Wil Rock You.... and to a lesser extent the rock songs. I read here that someone felt that Adam was using backing tracks. When I saw them I didn't feel that was so. What was missing from the show was that PUNCH that rock and roll is supposed to have - and the volume wasdelicate |

Yes, i totally agree with you about buying a ticket, but i can express my personal feeling/opinion |

Well, one or two new songs aren't enough to satisfy those who have heard them a year ago, 2 years or 3 years ago. But still.. it's nice to see that they're active musicians and there's that tiny little bit of the uncertainty regarding the overall "feel" of the show. At least they will be getting an excuse why they aren't preparing something from the archives for us to hear. |

Before 20 or less year we were dreaming for Queen to go back on few concerts. Now they are very achive, due to... 1) Despite the money Rock is always in their heart 2) All these tour it s Park of the record deals, is the policy of record industry to gain some big money, since the record sales are not what usedcars to be. |

link If they adjust the concertlist, it good be so much better. Adam is no Freddie, but you have to admit, the guy can sing. He for sure outperforms thatother guy. |
dysan 28.01.2017 01:28 |
You know what, I had a great time seeing them in 2012 I would definitely go again. Although it better be a short bus ride from my house. |
Pim Derks 28.01.2017 05:50 |
I wonder if they are really doing a new show... Would be great if they really did re-invent themselves. In 2014, who would've thought they would open with Procession/Now I'm Here, do Stone Cold Crazy, Lap Of The Gods etc? |
MercurialFreddie 28.01.2017 06:10 |
Exactly, 2014 Tour was in a way reminding people about the 70's, promoting the excellent but way too tinkered with Rainbow gig.... it was a very good year for us. Worrying thing is what Greg has stated in the "Queen in 3d book" thread, that as far as live releases for this year are concerned, nothing solid is proposed at that point... |

MercurialFreddie wrote: Well, one or two new songs aren't enough to satisfy those who have heard them a year ago, 2 years or 3 years ago.If you compare the 2005 and 2008 Q+PR setlists, there weren't a ton of differences. But if you compare either of those to the Lambert setlists, there are a lot of differences: Keep Yourself Alive, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Now I'm Here, Stone Cold Crazy, In The Lap Of The Gods Revisited, Somebody To Love, Don't Stop Me Now, Play The Game, The Hero, Who Wants To Live Forever A lot of the hits weren't in Rodgers' powerhouse, but they do work for Lambert. But back then they had the Free/BC back catalog to fall back on, with the same core hit Queen songs in there. This is what happens when you have 10-15 big hits - you're confined to them. They'll lose most people if they play more than 3 or 4 obscure songs. They're not Peter Gabriel or Rush - they can't play an hour of album tracks. But this is not a recent phenomenon - Queen stopped being an album band in 1980, not ten years ago. |

^ Who Wants To Live Forever is spine chilling with his vocal. I personally just wish I was able to hear it with Fred, but alas, I was born a year after Fred passed, so that couldn't happen. One thing though, I am quite happy with the new tour, I filmed most of the Saskatoon show on my iPhone in 2014, had no nice mics or anything, but there is like an hour long video I filmed. This time around though, I'm going to get tickets and naturally, I shall be able to actually record this time. Which is nice. Though, not in Saskatoon, I will be almost certainly recording in Edmonton, where I reside now. |

My wife and I are glad that Brian's spirits are up, and that they are touring again. I am surprised that they are playing so many dates. IF....and I say 'IF'....they were doing a handful of stadium shows, we would go. I have not missed a US tour since I saw them in Harrisburg in (gulp) '74. We said our 'goodbyes' to Brian and Roger and Adam at MSG and Meriweather a few years ago. They will be in our neck of the woods, so to speak, in Brooklyn, DC, Philly... As much as my wife would like to don her QII leather jacket, me to wear my 'Jazz' tour jacket........and see all our 'extended' family......we will not be seeing them. Besides, the Tigers will be in Baltimore around the same time, we're doing a trip to Michigan and Canada afterwards, so we are choosing 'us' over 'them'. If the tix were twenty bucks a piece, we'd change our minds.........but this isn't the 70s |

Brian notied in a press interview for this tour that it's the 40th anniversary of News Of The World and both mentioned a plan to deliver a new immersive experience with a different setlist. I'm wondering... because of Adam... maybe the return of Get Down Make Love? Spread Your Wings? (I hesitate so as not to jinx it... but... dare I suggest) It's Late? I'm GOING!!! CHI-CA-GO!!! |

Most rock fans think touring with an American Idol singer makes this whole thing a Joke, but Halford giving lambert a thumbs up is good enough for me, though personally I'm not a fan of him. |
