If QPL can't look at this release and think "F*** me. We can charge £75 per album so long as we include 27 demos and alternate mixes", then we may as well give up on them. link THIS is how to do a reissue. |

They are simply not interested, we just have to accept it. All these hopes and wishes will continue to fall on deaf ears. I personally have stopped expecting anything. |

This is indeed how it should be done. Almost all giants of rock are doing this these days. Queen don't. They are becoming dinosaurs. Big but exstinct, only known for how huge some of their hits are buy not respected for the many lesser known diamonds in their repertoire (like all those amazing seventies concerts) |

It is by NO means how it should be done. Stacks of missing material and a disc 5 that is just about as incomplete as it could possibly be. It LOOKS impressive and the design values are incredibly high. Rich has done a cracking job with the band's Super Deluxe Editions, but given that The Who are the most beautifully visual band in the history of Rock and that this era was particularly well represented in terms of imagery, you'd be hard-pressed to fuck that side of it up. The important bit though, the MUSIC has just left me feeling like my 1-year-old son whose just been told to stop opening the door of the freezer. I just want to drop down on my ass on the floor, let my chin hit my chest and hands flop down to the floor at my sides and just wonder at the complete injustice of it all. It appears that either the record company or the band's management just don't think of these releases as being the vitally important historical be-all-and-end-all that they should be treated as. |

This is when you'd hope Mr Archivist to put an appearance in, but then I suppose he has to be told his opinion..... |

looks kinda impressive. Probably one of their worst albums next to ITS HARD/Endless wire and well.... the mid 80's PT output and I fucking LOVE the Who, but I wouldn't drop $120 on them unless it was a concert |

I would love to work on a set like that. I have gathered and received loads of Queen material over the years. |

While I couldn't care much for My Generation (the album), I like what they're doing here. It'll be interesting to hear the 2014 overdubs Pete and Roger did for the stereo mix, especially Roger. |

I'm sure John has the business savvy to think: "Hey if they get excited about Freddie saying FUCK on a mistake of SOMEBODY TO LOVE then let em! "....."if they love it, fine! " just find the interesting bits and make it a package! (*it'll sell) I'm sure and certain because I AM JOHN... isn't there a little John Deacon in every one of us? -;-) But the other two fellows, they've got expensive/extensive women (Brian/Roger; respectively) |

I think it's Jim Beach that seems too much of a big voice in what is going on, what is released and what's not. I think he is the guy that develops or gets the ideas, or the ideas or certain concepts get forwarded to him (by GB for instance?) as I dont assume the band is very interested in knowing about anything until there is some sort of half-finished proposal on the table... I dont want to sound nasty, but Jim Beach is not the nicest guy in the business and does not wish to think about the fans (he could care less!) , and my assumption is that HE is holding certain things up and then deciding on rereleasing a lot of crap just for the sake of keeping the record company happy. Yes they did release a number of interesting products over the years (Rainbow, Milton Keynes, the FM box, Budapest 86) but they also released a lot of crap over the years (Absolute Greatest, Ultimate Queen, The Singles Collection, Queen Rocks, Deep Cuts, the new FM single collection, Queen Forever - They just re-hashed 80% of existing material on those albums - I am confident this will change sometime soon as the old bugger is now 74 years old ... |

It's thanks to our wish lists (I'm sure about that) that we at least got some extra's with the 2011 remasters. The fact that some of that stuff was incredibly good, cool and interesting makes it just all the more painful that they're not making more available for sale! |

So far, with the exception of Mad the Swine and the Made in Heaven songs, the unreleased songs were kind of crappy. |
