the news said 25k ppl were there.
Flawless show
"Stone cold crazy" was a highlight for me, also the opening drums on "Radio..." and Boh Rap hard rock part.
Adam is great, nothing to complain about but listening to Freddie thru the same PA system made realize that unique timbre of his is what sets him apart, regardless how good Adam is.
Anyway Freddie is set in that time forever, I doubt in these days would have sounded better than Adam.
I was there as well and the overall impression was that it was a great concert. They started by the way with "The Hero" then followed by "One Vision" ... and the press reported very favorably on the concert (especially the punctuality that the concert started at 21:05).
What I did notice was: Spike's piano sound (especially in SSOR) was highly compressed and not very audible during the song. Also during WWTLF Spike's keyboards should have been louder. There were a few timing problems (Adam) but only a die-hard fan would really notice that. The lasers were great during WWTLF and Brian's solo was impressive (especially on the screen). Before the show I saw the crew members making pictures towards the Parliament House noticably being impressed by the view.
During LOML, I think I noticed Brian shedding a tear as he was pretty emotional. During the concert I also saw Brian really smiling and enjoying himself (remember the type of smile/expression of Brian had after "that note" by George Michael during the Tribute Concert), well at times he was smiling like that during this concert.
I think the venue, the view and the fact it was their first concert in Romania really led them to outperform themselves. Roger also did a great vocal on AKOM (very expressive!)
Overall, this was a great concert. I bought myself a 1 of 100 Queen-concert announcement poster (with the colours of the Romanian flag mixed through the Queen crest) which I will put in a nice frame.
I'm really glad that you seem to have had a great time with the gig in your home country, TRS-Romania. The opening with Hero-Vision must have been fabulous. Rock on!!!
Cheers,
