It's all compiled from existing youtube footage and QZ shares, so don't try to wrap it up like a Christmas present. |
The Real Wizard 27.05.2016 18:00 |
...YouTube uploads that lasted an hour before they were taken down. Most people didn't get to see 2/3 of this. And how do you know what the source is? Thanks for posting, Kamenliter ! Maybe we'll get an actual story as to how this got out. It's not every day that a bunch of pro footage from 1977 suddenly squeaks out. Or is that asking too much? |
Barry Durex 27.05.2016 18:07 |
Who put them up and took them down? Is that not who you should be asking? |
The Real Wizard 27.05.2016 18:26 |
And that question assumes they are the same source. Don't make assumptions. You've just seen a Queenzone post. |
Barry Durex 28.05.2016 02:45 |
I make no assumptions. I know who upped the original clips and took them down, as do you. I also saw their comments. |

Many thanks, I think I have not seen this before. This is the best share of the year ! If Queen Productions do not release this or Hyde Park before the end of 2017, then they are severely disrespecting the great Fred M, and are "not fit for purpose". |
bryony 29.05.2016 00:35 |
I must say, I enjoyed watching that very much !! |

It's crazy that this thread has barely hit page two - it's new pro footage of vintage Queen. Maybe this is why so little Queen stuff comes out from non-Queen collectors - there doesn't seem to be much interest in it. |
dudeofqueen 31.05.2016 04:17 |
The Real Wizard, There just seems to be complete apathy at the moment towards the band. I'm sure that if there were firm plans and announcements from on high with regards to actual vintage product hitting the shelves there'd be a bit more activity here, but given the nature of a large number of the threads and how they so rapidly descend, even a box set featuring un-released material from '73-'79 wouldn't stoke the fires of more than a handful of people. For my part, this EC footage is absolute GOLD - its always been at the top of my list in terms of variety of material, delivery and sheer bloody fun. I fear that if they do release this, the tinkering and tampering would completely spoil it for me. Perhaps that's just exactly WHY QPL are reluctant to release it - they fear unfavourable comparisons with underground material. I'll happily sit with the bootlegs, thanks. |
MackMantilla 31.05.2016 09:00 |
wow, fantastic share! Thanks a lot for it :-) |

That new footage is YouTube sourced or it's from a file that you already had before the leak? Just to know. And, BTW, BIG BIG BIG THANKS! |

Queen fans are weird. I'd like to think your cynicism wouldn't come to fruition if a Queen product like that were simply marketed properly. All they'd have to do is include a new version of Bohemian Rhapsody, using one of the two alternate lead vocals on the 24 track master, and bang, there we go. Hit the morning talk shows, and do a farewell tour marketed as such. The 2011 remasters were a missed opportunity, but they'd have one more crack at it with a box set. And to think I'm not even a PR expert. |

Many many thanks for this. Excellent stuff. Maybe next year for the full project? We can only hope so. Although I'd be keen to see some of the forum bods have a hand in it rather than the ham-fisted approach we have seen from QPL previously. I'm sure those in the lofty heights of QPL towers scoff at a lot of what goes on here, but there's no question, we have the amateur talent to run rings round the so-caled professionals. Thanks again. |

I for one am truly ecstatic about every bit of unseen pro footage or even seen footage (if it's a nice upgrade, like that hammy stuff Sikke posted on youtube). |

Wonderful, simply wonderful. Thanks a bunch for sharing this! It's great to finally see more concert footages come out in the open in great quality. Let's hope this won't be the last. I think i'm gonna sound dumb, but I gotta ask: Where do you think the audio source came from? I was thinking it's from the video feed, but it didn't have that dryness I hear from other video feed recordings like the 1st night, at least to my ears. |

wonderfull share !!! I really love the Earls Courts shows, it's fantastic !!! Thanks for dispobilize it |

Ogre Battle is for sure - some of the lead vocal is from the first night. It's beyond me why they didn't do it in stereo. |
dudeofqueen 03.06.2016 05:15 |
The Real Wizard, re: >It's beyond me why they didn't do it in stereo. They fear the bootlegger; why make something available in pristine quality that's not going to generate any cash. FAR better to spend time and effort making things less than perfect...... |
Killer_queenIII 03.06.2016 07:04 |
I was thinking it was QPL's idea as a teaser for an upcoming Earls Court release, though i must have been dreaming when I thought of that. Jokes aside, it has a good sound for what it is. |
jabbo5150 04.06.2016 21:40 |

dudeofqueen 20.06.2016 10:27 |
Finally managed to get around to watching this footage at the weekend - wife and kids away so that cat was happy to play. Absolutely fucking awesome. No other words to describe it really. The two shows have always been my Holy Grail since picking up a 2 cassette bootleg of the first night in Camden Market in about 1987. There's absolutely no reason on earth WHY the two shows cannot be released in full as per the Wembley 1986 re-issue from a while back. The set lists are incredibly diverse and the band on tip top form. Microphone cuts out? Fine, how long is it for and would it detract or persuade someone not to watch further; I think not. Come on QPL; do me a favour - just a small one and get this set out in its warts-n-all entirety - audio and video - and I PROMISE never to complain about anything you decide to do again. |
The Real Wizard 20.06.2016 13:45 |
^ what he said. Their logic on quality is just so poor. The bad quality stuff from the 70s is already on youtube, and people watch it every day. And it's those exact people who would buy these shows on DVD in a heartbeat, even if they're just slightly better than what's on youtube. I fear our boys are just out of touch with what people would pay for. |
