recently in a topic i can't find anymore Mr. GB said that HP(has nothing to do with Hewlett Packard :) at all!) is not likely to be released this year 'cause it hasn't been properly taken care of or something like that. Meaning that is not up to Queen Standards of quality. Such a pity!! He mentioned someting like "there will be some Freddie surprises this year". I wonder, we have the lover of life docu, we have the great pretender docu. One of them covers Freddie's private life and the other his solo carrer. What else could be there that has not been seen before?? Maybe a live version of In my defence??? Victory??? a Proper version of TMBMTLTT?? any thoughts???? |

They're probably just going to re-release Mr. Bad Guy. I think it's out of print anyway. |
matt z 27.04.2016 14:33 |
Hopefully if they do, it'll be in a super deluxe with aviator glasses and a Hawaiian print shirt. Modestly priced at $155.00 |

Too late. A pirate edition of Mr. Badguy was released last year. |

I would like to see the Dominion Theatre april 1988 Time show complete with all the Freddie bits. |

i would expect a re-releases of freddie... Mr. Bad Guy / 2-disc (ie. album + rehash of box set bad guy material) & 1LP vinyl. Same idea for Barcelona and Great Pretender. Easy to set up and people like me will gladly buy it. Wondering when they'll release rest of Roger on vinyl + Cross + Brian. a nice colored vinyl lp of back to the light + another world should definitely be a worthy-release (if limited). |

Not having Hyde Park this year is a major disappointment for me. Queen on Air to me doesn't really do it for me,mainly because I've heard most of what's been available on the internet for years (I felt similarly about Hammersmith 75 last year which turned out to be laughable regarding yet extras). I can't see a simple rerelease of Me Bad Guy being a big seller either. So, does anyone have any idea what these "Freddie surprises" might be? Serious comments please. Also what does everyone know to be in the vaults regarding Queen on Air ( BBC recordings etc)@ |

The are going to release Mr Bad Guy, with the queened up versions that have been sitting in the can for 30 years. Man Made Paradise, My Love is Dangerous that we know of, along with the Queen +Paul Rodgers version of Lets Turn It On. Should be audio dynamite. |
Cruella de Vil 28.04.2016 07:38 |
Hey Haystacks, great line: " Queen + Paul Rodgers version of Lets Turn It On." May I also add as a bonus track Queen + Paul Rodgers version of Delilah in a 12" mix by No More Brothers with Montserrat Cabelle on backing vocals? |
MercurialFreddie 28.04.2016 08:59 |
Hold on..... Wouldn't the whole case with "Queen on Air" be partly re-releasing the tracks we got on the 2011 deluxe reissues (the BBC ones) ? |

Can anyone point me to the thread where GB mentioned Hyde Park? Cheers. |
jondickens1 28.04.2016 13:04 |
Greg Brookes did say that Hyde Park is being researched however so all is not lost on that front. But won't be released this year. |

It was deleted already. The Title was "no subject". It was up for 1or 2 days. I remember that CruellaDeVille also asked GB something so he must remember that topic too. Someone posted here "we will have Earls court next year" WRONG!!! Also Greg stated that Queen's style is not to follow a pattern, otherwise they would be forced to release next year Houston, then jazz, then live Killers, etc, etc. that leaves me to think the release of Hammy and Rainbow were purely coincidental to their anniversary, I do hope they reconsider giving us more live material(visual i mean). Hyde Park and Knebworth park are 2 great gigs never before seen in decent quality. I am ok with "the Freddie Surprises" but having in the vault things like the mentioned gigs at the park, or Houston, Earls Court, Buenos Aires, Japan, Hammy 79, and not putting them out is a real waste. And it's laughable that they use the excuse "the product should be in the best quality possible to be released" and then they just give us something like hammersmith 75, which looked almost exactly as the 2009 bbc bootleg with an only major improvement in the audio department and in some patches added to the original broadcast. Let's not talk about the extra material. An audio only bonus of part of the sonudcheck, really??? I did like the fact they finally put it out, but it could have been better. |

I'm thinking it will be remastered Mr Bad Guy album and a few balloons lol |

given that the market is drying up for physical releases, etc, the longer they wait the less worthwhile it will become. |

^Excellent point. |

The Freddie surprise will most likely be a reissue of Lover Of Life, Singer Of Songs with the addition of a new remix of Living On My Own by Tiesto and the Barcelona tracks replaced by the 'new' versions with the real orchestra. The first print will come with a super limited edition Freddie For A Day moustache. Queenonline will offer Mr Bed Guy pyamas and Mr Bath Guy bathing soap. There will also be a limited Mr Beer Guy beer available at the very special price of $12.99 per bottle. To top it all of there will be a special set of My Love Is Dangerous condoms, available in 6 colours and 6 sizes. Collect them all! |

^Mr Beer Guy beer should be called Mr Bear Guy, given our knowledge of Freddie's taste in men. |

Richard Orchard wrote: given that the market is drying up for physical releases, etc, the longer they wait the less worthwhile it will become. That's not quite true. Only a certain demographic will switch to digital downloads, the people who just want to listen to the music as some "background noise" while they're doing something else. But there will always be a (relatively) big group of people who will always want a physical release with lots of value added materials. |

dave76 wrote: I would like to see the Dominion Theatre april 1988 Time show complete with all the Freddie bits.======================================= Big chance this will be the release. Someone inside the Queencamp had leaked QP was trying to get the full interview with Freddie and Dave Clark that was seen last year. Also there had been contact with the management of Clark. That's al I heard. I finally hope we will see this full Dominion Show |
gooddrills 29.04.2016 15:16 |
Now that really is exciting. I would love to have the Dominion tracks in high quality. Maybe even the Freddie version of Born to Rock'n'Roll that couldn't be found in the archives before? Perhaps Clark has it? |

Dominion 1988 in pro video would be just as amazing as Hyde Park for me, yes even if it means just a few songs with Freddie. |

No idea, but hopefully it was. Audio was definitely recorded as we have a great soundboard recording of It's In Everyone Of Us. |

PLEASE lets have the Brian May solo box set in 2016. Even just a simple Blu-ray SD release of Brixton would do it for me!! ;-) |

I remember the quote because apparently Freddie started to sell ice creams and i thought it was a funny ocurrence. But then again, Wembley first night. |

Someone on here has previously said they had the soundboard recordings of Born to Rock'n'Roll and In My Defence. Either that or they had heard them. I've only ever heard the audience recordings of those two tracks. Has anyone on here heard the afore mentioned? |
