Hey everyone, can somebody please tell me which documentary or video compilation this clip comes from? I remember seeing it in something I downloaded a while ago, but now I can't remember :( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8aGaxavDAU&feature=youtu.be&t=5m18s -Chin |

I found a comment from the OP regarding that bit: "Gracias por tu comentario Ramón. En efecto ese par de segundos es de las grabaciones de DoRo, la extraje de la versión promocional de The Show Must Go On (aparece también en uno de los insertos del Tributo a Freddie)." I'm not really good in Spanish, bust best I can tell, it's a DoRo clip taken from TSMGO. |

I really hope that all of the footage DoRo shot that day is in the Queen archives. Are they still denying having anything other than the audience footage ? |
Chinwonder2 10.03.2016 13:15 |

I've bought the Jewels dvd just for the fact that there are 2 Innuendo period videos on it. Since we probably never get to see Greatest Video Hits 3 i am ok with Jewels. |

Are they still denying having anything other than the audience footage ?The camera in this clip was pointed towards Freddie, so i'm pretty sure that Doro have in their archives or QP archives Boh Rhap and other songs from Knebworth. I think there was a topic some years ago in QZ about DoRo needing to catalogue their archive, and that means that at the time even they didn't know what was in their spolio. About Roger in Knebworth: -His drumming seems to be more fluid. Great, great drumming in the Rock section. Even Freddie was ecstatic, judging by his huge smile after he looked at Roger. |

It may have been from the compilations shown at the FM Tribute 1992 on the big screen between the bands (which were also bonuses on the 2002 DVD) Luke |

I still can't find it, but the website says it's on Disc 2 of the Tribute Concert :( -Chin |
fr1986 10.03.2016 16:21 |
Thats right, it is on the dvd2 of the old Freddie mercury tribute relase(2002). What you have in TSMGO video is a very short Snippet of Hammer to fall from Knebworth, which is also present(and a bit longer) in the unreleased Freddie Mercury Documentary shared here sometime last year. |

^this reminds me of a question I wanted to ask for a while. I don't know if anyone answered this, but is there more DoRo clips of Knebworth that I have't seen yet? these are the clips i've seen so far: The part where their helicopter arrived at Knebworth Hammer To Fall - bit seen from the In My Defense video Is This The World We Created - Champions of the World Radio Gaga - Crowd shots and ending (where Deacy threw his bass) from Rare Live WATC - Rare Live |

Yes, almost same bonuses in the two editions and nothing related to Knebworth. |

At least the complete second half (from Is This The World We Created to God Save The Queen) exists on 16mm film shot by DoRo, together with backstage footage (most known is the bit with Freddie's "vocal exercise" which is interrupted by Roger, and footage of them walking to the stage) and some interviews. Because of sheer incompetence or laziness the same footage is labeled as Wembley (together with Mannheim footage and even some Budapest footage) on various releases and often mixed with real Wembley backstage footage. And of course there's the helicopter footage (again shot by DoRo), One Vision shot by ITV, a significant amount of Status Quo footage, some Big Country bits ... |

Maybe they didn't have the multitracks so they couldn't fix those dodgy bits. I think the original VHS release of that gig was about an hour long. In my opinion Freddie didn't sound that bad. It might just be another of their fan-friendly production decisions. The Real Wizard wrote:I remember the topic about Knebworth where Greg said we should "expect the unexpected" and that "we should consider the option that we have all been misinformed" and that he can't say more than that ... Freddie's performance in Tokorozawa is actually really really good. His voice cracks badly during some songs but for every bad crack there's an astonishing example of creative phrasing or making up for the occasional crack with sheer power. The show is very different compared tot Milton Keynes and that's why I think they should release - at some point - a box with the 2 complete shows. All they would have to do is fix a few cracks and some auto tune on Body Language :-) :-) :-) The fast wwry, action this day, calling all girls, nih-put out the fire - dragon attack, cltcl,... All stunning performances... Edgy and energetic. Just the way I like it... |
