Hey all! I'm finally biting the bullet and going to book for a queen concert... but i live in ireland, so i have to travel. Where is best to go? I wanted to go to bulgaria, cos that's where my husband is from but i can't get off work that week... But if i had a choice between Germany and Belgium, which one is better? Or do you think it makes a difference? I have no idea what the stadiums are like. Also, do you think it'd be do-able to go to a concert in a country where i don't speak the language? I presume they still talk in english most of the time?
I've been too concerts in the Palais12 in Brussels before and concerts in Germany. Generally enjoyed the Belgian audiences more. Do keep in mind that the gig in Cologne is in a football stadium and the one in Brussels in an arena.
The palais12 in Brussels has a standing area and just one big sitting area at the back of the arena, nothing on the sides. The stadium in Cologne is your average football stadium during concerts, so a standing area and sitting areas at the back and the sides.
I booked belgium!!!!!!! Mainly cos it's way cheaper and the arena looks better... although i'm a tiny bit nervous about travelling to brussels with europe being so crazy at the moment, but hopefully it will all go ok... i can't wait... i've never been to a queen concert. My husband is telling people that 'my wife is fulfilling her lifelong dream' because i'm soooo excited!!!! June won't ever come!!!!!!!
In the 70's I would have suggest Germany....
In the 80's ..it doesn't matter...
nowadays...it's Belgium I think.
It wouldn't wonder me too much, if someone in Cologne wil say " Is Freddie doing Botox ? " during the Gig.
You've inspired me catqueen!
I have been dithering for weeks - I have now booked Brussels and I'll be flying from Ireland too!
Thanks.
Now I had better go and vote!

I'd love to hit Brussels too but can't get there from Cork airport. Im hitting Bucharest and Sofia as they are the cheapest option for me.
Such a shame Ireland has been ignored again and the only UK date is a bit of a complicated and expensive trip.
Should be worth all the effort though. Hope you all have a blast in Brussels. The one good thing with following Queen you get to travel a bit.

I desperately wanted to go to Sofia, cos my husband is bulgarian, and it would have been amazing for him, but i couldn't get off work :(

I'm going to Bucharest too and have already booked flights and a hotel but I am having real problems booking tickets for the gig at eventim.ro. When I get through to the payment screen, the options for entering credit card details do not appear. Maybe it's because I'm in the UK but other events on that website do seem to work and a mastercard/visa option appears on screen.
Have you also had any issues with obtaining tickets?
Cheers.

Working fine for me still, maybe it is ad block software or something?
