Have we exhausted every single juicy piece of information about our favorite band of all time? Is this the end of our nerdy fighting and bickering? Will the Queen army continue to stand up strong and whine, bitch, moan, scream and cry about what we really want and need? We use to have passion! Grit! Determination! What is this really about; you might ask yourself? It's about the stupid Queen anthology box set. There I said it. It's the only thing we want. The only thing we need. And why can't we have it, gosh darn it?
sincerely,
-mike.
But Mike, haven't you heard it already? There is nothing left in the vaults. There are no alternative versions, no excisting demo's, no new never heard before 12 inch versions. Damn, even the BBC versions are a hoax. I pity the fool who really believe that someday, one day (pun intent) we gonna have a treasurebox in our hands.
Tom
the day they put up a download site with FLACs of soundboards of every show from 1975/04/19 through 1982/11/03 is the day I'll never need anything else from Queen ever again.
While we're having fun with puns. ...I wish QPL (or a FAN for that matter) would gather a new collection together
Brian May: The Solo Collection
1. Dappy..
2. Jeffrey Osborne. ..
3. Iommi - Goodbye Lament
Follow my lead?
Here is why it is boring here sometimes.
Only about 5% of the people here contribute media and information.
20% of the people here love downloading stuff and reading information but don't feel they need to contribute.
25% of the people here want to know what John Deacon had for breakfast.
The remaining 50% aren't Queen fans at all and contribute nothing. They are only interested in the Aids virus, what day Freddie contracted it and their goal is to find the last photo or video of Freddie so they can masturbate while viewing it and thinking about how sick he looked.
If you can separate the wheat from the chaff this place isn't boring at all.
^And also that Queen are a 45 year old band who don't release anything new which is remotely notable.
Considering how long ago Freddie died, I think the fact there is still so much attention is a good thing. I don't think it's boring.
How will the Chris Brown forum look in 45 years time? Think it will be boring?

Nobody will even remember him.
Exactly matt
I know nothing of him, only that he beat up Rihanna and for that reason he is human trash, she is a Caribbean goddess. Could not name one of his songs if you offered me a million quid.

You must have missed the alt version of The Prophet's Song that came out a week or two ago.
Cool stuff still happens here.

I'm still waiting for those extra songs from the Queen II and The Game sessions that I'm sure exist.
Wishful thinking.
Queen were not the kind of band to reject a ton of finished songs.
And if they did, the songs are definitely not very good, because tunes like Loser In The End and Don't Try Suicide made the albums.
To be fair, they usually chose tracklists based on which songs would match each other well enough (in terms of providing enough contrast, consistency, etc). Just like 'A Human Body' didn't make the album because, allegedly, Fred and Brian decided that would've been one ballad too many (and it's, in my opinion, a far better song than at least four that actually made the album).
Chances of finding a rejected song that's as good as 'Teo Torriatte' , 'The Show Must Go On' or 'Don't Stop Me Now' are ridiculously low in my opinion. But chances of finding something (even if unfinished) better than 'Body Language', 'Delilah' or 'My Baby Does Me' (not to mention 'The Call', 'The Kissing Me Song' or almost anything on 'Cosmos Rocks') are probably quite good.
Having said that, considering how quick and comparatively cheap 'Queen II' recordings were, they probably used at least most of what hey had. Albums from 'Races' onwards are far more likely to contain more outtakes and unreleased material.
