Hi all, I have decided to cash in on a few items from my collection but don't have any real idea how to go about it, other than put the items on ebay, which I have never used before. Hope you don't mind me posting this link on here, as the advert has been on ebay for three days with only two views- link
Ah, another convention giveaway item. Given the relatively low quality of Video CD and the market flooding that occurred when all the stock got chucked at conventioners, maybe you should start at £5?
It may have been a convention giveaway, but it doesn't appear for sale too often these days - whether that be in second hand record shops, fairs, or even eBay. Given that it's gone for a minimum of £20 the last few times it has been on sale, I don't think the price asked is unreasonable. What has the quality of the video got to do with it? The likelihood is that a collector will have the videos anyway, and won't buy it for watching, but to just have in their collection...
It's hit or miss, really. I've put items on at a low start and attracted no interest, yet found that the same item from another seller has several bids and a decent price (and vice versa!). The risk of the low start is the commitment to going through with the sale if it stays low (and the fees on top, which means practically giving the item away). Bloody hate ebay lol.
On a different note to the OP...you say you're selling a collection, but the link was for one item. Do you have a list (and prices) of the items you're selling?? Cheers :)
