So what's the deal with this German "Cheapo" edition? Is there any reason why I should be excited about a re-issue of a pointless compilation album, which was just just a few years ago available in all the bargain-bins across Europe? |
| MAYniac91 11.11.2015 18:25 |
The point is not the release itself my friend. It's interesting only for collectors because of the white vinyl gatefold vinyl edition and the slighly different logo on the front. Without any question this release was never interesting because of it's content! |
| tero! 48531 11.11.2015 23:10 |
Thanks, I guess that was to be expected... |

Are Tchibo's vinyls usually quality products or are they crap? |
| MAYniac91 15.11.2015 09:34 |
I don't think it's made by Tchibo itself... usually they order products from official companys and sell it under the name Tchibo. So it's pretty realistic, that the Vinyl and the CD comes from Queens official record company. Sadly I don't have a look on the CD till today. |
| kevin79 16.11.2015 07:19 |
It doesn't look like this company ships to the USA. I was wondering if anyone who could get their hands on the white vinyl edition when it's released would be willing to ship it to me in the States. Obviously, I'd be happy to pay for the vinyl and all shipping through PayPal or some other way that we could work out. Thanks in advance. |

I'll do so for you... contact me via PM. |

What a rip off that album was. I actually regret owning the bloody thing! Sits on my shelf like some fucking vulture. I think it would be an idea to list all Queen's compilations here: 1. GH, 1981 2. GH II, 1991 3. GH I & II, 1994 4. Rocks, 1997 5. GH III, 1999 6. The Platinum Collection, 2002 7. Absolute Greatest, 2009 8. Deep Cuts trilogy, 2011 9. Forever, 2014 Begs for no. 10, don't you reckon?? |
| brians wig 17.11.2015 14:25 |
Well, "Forever" was made purely because Universal wanted their own compilation album, so I reckon they'll do another at some point. Of course, you could argue that #10 is, infact, Deep Cuts 3.... |

| Estranged 17.11.2015 15:34 |
There was also the "A to Z of Queen" or something. |
| MAYniac91 24.11.2015 13:36 |
The Vinyl is no available to order online... ... anyone interested? Got one for sale overseas. |

Any news on how limited the white vinyl pressing is? |
| Dane 26.11.2015 05:35 |
Here's a link to a site where you can buy it. link |
| Voice of Reason 2018 26.11.2015 06:41 |
Have any of you received the album? Is it a good quality pressing and good to listen to? A Christmas gift idea for someone! Cheers, The Voice. |

Has anyone from outside of Germany already tried to purchase it? I tried to buy the vinyl from the Tchibo website, but for some reason they won't let me order it, because I'm not from Germany ? The Cd-version is no problem to order from outside Germany, it seems, but it's not really the CD-version I'm interested in, it's the vinyl of course. |
| brians wig 29.11.2015 07:14 |
No problem at all Jeroen. I'm in the UK. They ship to Europe only though. try this link: link |

I mailed them , got a response and now ordered it from the German site. Also I now know what went wrong: For some reason I was on the Austrian part of their site, and from there the vinyl is not available for foreign countries. |
| alberbal12 29.11.2015 15:07 |
Thanks for the link, maybe i'll buy one for Christmas! |

hi get the white vinyl and the cd from Tchibo at the weekend. |
| Voice of Reason 2018 02.12.2015 05:06 |
And how are they Queenboot? Does the vinyl play well? Are the records and sleeves nicely finished and presentable? Cheers. |
| MAYniac91 02.12.2015 09:48 |
Overall perfect quality. Like every official release these days from Queen. Nice heavy white vinyl, perfect sound and clear colourful artwork. It was official produced by Virgin Records for Tchibo. Did not see the CD at this time, but I think it is simular quality like the vinyl release. |
| Voice of Reason 2018 02.12.2015 11:09 |
Nice one thanks MAYniac91! I have two copies on the way. Self-gifting returns! Cheers. |

This is a new re-release of the Absolute Greatest compilation album pressed on double heavyweight white vinyl LP. Released by Virgin records in conjunction with Tchibo in Germany in November 2015, the LP set also includes a gatefold cover, inner sleeves, MP3 download code and an updated front cover design. I keep wondering why, in 2015, Queen's download codes are still only for 320Kbps MP3s. |
| people on streets 14.12.2015 12:00 |
The vinyl sold out in two weeks time. GT: -any idea how much were pressed? 1000? -will there be another batch pressed? I emailed Tchibo and they said that I had to ask Queen productions ltd. |
| Pim Derks 15.12.2015 01:45 |
Sold out? Glad I got it last week then. |

Sadly I think 5.1 surround mixes are dead in the water as far as Queen is concerned, not that that stops lots of other artists, even in 2015! Such a loss. Queen's material above all others would shine in surround sound. |
