So.. someone made an attempt at matching the available audio source to footage filmed at that show. Some of the camera angles seem "new" to me...
What do you think ? link
I'm the one who made the video. I guess it was the original Hammer To fall video that's why I used it! And it's a different filter.. Here is where I got the video link

Cool, nice job.
But far more interesting is the concert footage of earlier songs in the show. It exists, but apparently without audio.
Would be nice to see that footage! Like the ones taken in LMIYHA Fred on piano.. Looks to be Somebody To Love?

Interesting. In the QP vaults I guess, so not much chance it'll see the light of day...:/
I remember there was a camera on an articulated arm, maybe even two (?) above us (I was at the front of the audience).
Apart from personal memories...not much I reckon ?
Ha yes. I took 200 pictures with a good camera. Then after the concert, I brought them to my local photo shop (those were the days !)... and they lost my 200 pictures. Or maybe they stole them, I'll never know.
I was just 6 or 7 meters away from Freddie's piano. His voice was in top form, as it was the first night of the tour.
I remember a few things, all of them caught on tape (see bootlegs on YT). Freddie mentionning they hadn't toured for two years, the beginning of Somebody to Love, the announce of the Hammer to Fall video (I didn't really get what he said at the time).
That was a great show really. Loved the "Works" stage stuff. The lighting show was back at its top after the Hot Space rather poor light show.
I think they rehearsed Tear it Up (?) while we were already queueing to enter the concert hall. ;)
...that's it... over 30 years ago !

That's awful. And it wouldn't be the first time that happened.
Otherwise - fab reading your memories of the show ! Indeed, it was one of Mercury's best.
Thank you for sharing your memories of this concert with us. A pity that those pictures weren't found. Just imagine 200 photos of the opening gig of the 1984 tour gathering dust somewhere. I wonder what could happen with them? Does your local photo shop still exist ?

Thanks for recounting these memories. So nice to get a first hand account.
The part of Freddie in piano in HTF? Really non sense
I believe, yes you think that i am really drunk, that they tried a video of man on a prowl at the time, remember that this track would be the fifth single of the album, canceled in favour of TGIC
I am really crazy for think this, but why not? hahahahaha
