Seeing how I unintentionally misread a client post about poetic techniques in Queen songs I realized there hadn't been a thread purely about the pyrotechnics used live on queen tours.
Which songs got em?
Ones I know
1. WWRY
2. hammer to fall
3. Tie your mother down
4. ?
On record
1. In the lap of the gods revisited
2. Innuendo (explosive version)
3.
Bo Rhap.
The Queen+ tours don't seem to have featured very much.
I know that Paul Rodgers was against them because he claimed the residue caused was bad for his throat.
I do think they would have added to the Q+AL production
Well. .mm that's twisted. Hope it had very little to do with QUEEN.
Funny though. I'd sent out memos last week to about 5 friends cautioning them about the forthcoming earthquake.
Lo and behold. .. the very next day a quake in the middle east
Maybe I've got a DEAD ZONE thing going on.
Sucks to have such empathy.
The birds feel it.
But it's seldom that people look towards the sky.
I'd noticed a lot of odd flight patterns the day I sent those memos out, as well.
Flighty birds preparing to do a "scavenger hunt" formation (*I.e. observe, drop and feed" ...)
They usually do a strategic wrap around about 15 minutes before sunset and these are not predatory birds.
^ Well actually I suggest to choose "Virtual Cartoon Pyros" like in the "AKOM" Video.
Aside that I 'am pretty glad that Queen didn't overdo it with Pyros.
I don't know why they decided to begin the Xmas Eve gig differently to the rest of the ANATO tour. They used pyros at the beginning of the show with Bo Rhap intro (rest of tour). What an entrance - so exciting. Especially if it was the first gig you ever went to at the age of 14. Life changing. Loved the Kenny Everett intro.
