Funny moog. "What better time indeed" This topic comes up at least once a year. For me: (among other songs) Queen related songs: Ensueño Guide Me Home That's of course leaving out a command performance by Daryl Hall and John Oates in their 100's throwing a spin on their song, performing "He's Gone" |

None. No funeral for me. But if my people want to do a party in my honor, I'd choose All Dead, All Dead. |

Definitely These Are the Days of Our Lives. But hey if most of us choose that one it might become a bit cliche. |

Sorry to hear that, khe73. May She rest in peace. Nice choice of a song, BTW. Best, Ogre- |

If I'm gonna go, this is what I want the people to hear on my funeral: Procession (start of the funeral) Track 13 (on the way to the cemetery) A Day At The Races Outro (as they bring down the coffin) |
matt z 23.10.2015 05:53 |
Bold! ^^^ no words No words at all. Sounds just like an art film I have in mind |
JacquesDaniels 23.10.2015 06:09 |
Sorry, no Queen for me. I wouldn't want my favourite band played in my funeral. But I have been thinking about it lately, and my current choice would be "A Walk in the Black Forest", as played by Klaus Wunderlich. ;-) |
brunogorski 23.10.2015 09:05 |
I'd go with I'm In Love With My Coffin |

absolutely NOTHING by queen my funeral = no God, no religion...a very secular deal....songs will be: Led Zep: Thank You (for my wife) Boston: More Than A Feeling (for my son - he can play it) The Beatles: In My Life (for me) Green Day: Good Riddance - time of your life (for everyone else) Hank Locklin - Forty Shades of Green (for the most beautiful country on earth) |
Fat Bottomed Queen 23.10.2015 12:00 |
Procession then In The Lap Of The Gods (Revisited) |
master marathon runner 23.10.2015 12:07 |
Fureys and Davey Arthur: 'when you were sweet sixteen ' Queen: 'love of my life" Both for my wife. |

That Hank Locklin better be good. I'm about to spend a dollar on it 'sound-unseen ' |
Killer_queenIII 23.10.2015 13:17 |
If I had to choose a non-Queen song. It'll have to be Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond Part IX. It's tempo seems appropriate for funerals. Don't know why, but my idea of having Procession, Track 13 and Races outro for my funeral got me opening Audacity right now. I'm attempting a mashup of these three songs, just to know how it sounds like. |

khe73: my condolence to your family. My funeral will open with Highway to Hell, and close with Stairway to Heaven (not sure which one of these 2 places I'll end up in). In between those 2 songs, I'll cram some Queen in. What a better oppotunity to promote Queen to my friends, none of them would likely like Queen in my living life. Doing All Right, Nevermore, Long Away, Dead on Time, Leaving Home Ain't Easy. Let It Be somewhere in the playlist. By the way, I'll try swallow some corn nuts before my hour, and tell people to cremate me. Then tell them to play Don't Stop Me Now right when the first popcorn blooms. Joy guaranteed for everyone. (And popcorn with barbecue flavour.) |

matt z wrote:That Hank Locklin better be good. I'm about to spend a dollar on it 'sound-unseen 'you can easily find it as a free download - it's long out of copyright. as for the tune - you may not like it...but lyrically, it captures the essence of the "Ireland of Old" - and it was a tune i grew up hearing older relatives playing - esp my dad (so it holds special memories) master marathon runner wrote:Fureys and Davey Arthur: 'when you were sweet sixteen '.nice tune - another of my dad's favourites Oscar J wrote:In My Life is a great pick Brenski.thanks. i think it one of (if not) the finest songs ever written |

To recycle an old joke from a similar thread ... I would like to be cremated so Instrumental Inferno would be appropriate. But if it turns out there was a mistake and I'm not actually dead, I would like to hear both Save Me and Put Out the Fire :) |

I want to break free ! Seriously , I have always said The Beatles ...In my Life was my funeral song Along with The Show Must Go On I recently dubbed another as my funeral song and I can't remember what it was !. Need to write it down I guess ! Oh and another definitely not Queen song that I requested Dust by Fleetwood Mac ( from the Bare Trees album ) |
