Hey everyone, I haven't properly introduced myself so I though why not!
My name is Jordan, I'm 15 and I've been a big queen fan (as you all are) for around 1 year. I got into Queen from my uncle who noticed and told me about Radio Ga Ga from GTA V. I took note and watched a few videos, I instantly fell in love with their music!
Be sure to say how you got into Queen!
I also have a YouTube channel: link
Where I've recently uploaded Paris 28/2/1979, Paris 1/3/1979, Tokyo 24/4/1979 & Tokyo 25/4/1979 videos, be sure to check those out! :)
See you around!

Welcome.
I tend to think that Queen fans are born Queen fans. The only difference between fans is when they discovered they were Queen fans. I discovered when I was 13 in 1999 - I had just downloaded Napster and for the first time I had access to any music I wanted (I had no money for CDs). The first song I ever downloaded was We Are The Champions (I'd always liked it, but had no idea who the band behind it were). Shortly after, I downloaded Bohemian Rhapsody, and discovered both songs were by the same band.
Anyway, it turned out that several of the songs I'd always liked (through having heard them on the radio), were by this band called Queen. I became a die-hard fan within a couple of weeks. I even stuck a photo of Freddie on my school diary (my previous photo was of Einstein). Needless to say, my classmates had a field day.
Before we got an internet subscription in 1999, I was pretty uninformed when it came to music. I didn't know any bands. There were a few musical groups or singers whom I'd heard of as child, namely Elvis, The Beatles, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and this guy called Freddie Mercury. I had no idea who he was. I always imagined him to be a pasty white spotty overweight chap. It's only when I discovered Queen that I realised he was their lead singer.
I also have this vague memory of my dad watching some music video on TV around the mid-90s - it was the Bo Rhap video - and him mentioning something about AIDS.
Welcome on board. I became a Queen fan seven years ago, on September 12th 2008 to be exact, when they along with Paul Rodgers came around to my hometown, Kharkiv, Ukraine, to play a free charity gig to 350,000 people. I was going to be there but things didn't turn out lucky for me in the end, so I just ended up watching a live TV broadcast. That very day I became their die-hard fan, although I'd heard their music a lot (must I say, on a rather regular basis) before. This concert has been officially released as "Live in Ukraine", so maybe you have seen it?
Welcome aboard! I got into Queen when I was around 5. The cassette of Greatest Hits 2 was my foot in the door to their music. I used to play that tape to death on my dad's stereo system when he's not around, I think I have that tape somewhere. After that, I got Live at Wembley Stadium and the Platinum Collection, and I got hooked to them since then. It wasn't until 2011 I delved further in their repertoire after watching Days Of Our Lives, and last year I went the extra mile after listening to Live At The Rainbow.
Queen's music has always been around in my family - my dad had a lot of their LPs in his own collection. My first experience of them was the Works LP, which he got when it first came out in 1984. I was 4, and apparently I used to sing along using an old broomstick as a pretend mic. I don't recall any of that really, I'm just going on stories my parents have told me.
I first got into Queen properly when a friend gave me a copy of Made In Heaven on cassette in '95. When I told my mum and dad about this band, they just laughed and told me the old stories. I loved Freddie's voice so much, I listened back to the old LPs and the rest, as they say, is history. I've been an avid collector since, owning all albums, singles, live releases, bootlegs etc - even some autographs and the Blue Bo Rhap - and have met Brian and Roger. I cannot imagine life without Queen's music or going on a trip without searching for collectables in old record stores.
