God ... it was a nightmare clicking over onto that site... I'm used to viewing it on mobile... but viewing it on laptop.... GOD
what an enormous amount of GARBAGE bordering, centering, spewing ABOVE and WITHIN the article....
JESUS
horrible.
anyways, Yeah, sorry to see that it looks like they're harassing him slightly. I guess that's the British press?
He's not a "Karshittian" for god sakes.
John, first John topic in which I won't ask for your buzzard bass.. Not even your Fender....
it's not like you're really USING it.... but in this situation, I just gotta feel bad that these pricks will follow somebody just to dredge up a story about a tour date that virtually NOBODY knows about.
SOrry, "KOHN"
KOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!! (Shakes fist mightily) link
1.1k comments on that article at the moment. That's not bad for a guy who's been practically away from the limelight for two and a half decades. It's the most attention he's got since the stripper incident.
Most of the comments show disapproval of the article and see it as invasion of his privacy, but the attention it got shows many people still care about John and haven't forgotten him. He's still very much part of Queen, strange as it may sound.
Oh, and he looks grumpy as hell. In a way, I understand him, but in a way I don't. He made himself into a public figure, so he can't reasonably expect the press not to be interested in him, especially since Queen's music is still so popular. He's lucky that he's generally left alone and unpestered.
^well yes make me look like a putz. I'm just saying that it's not as highly touted and regarded as other events. *(that doesn't make any of them any better than each other)
Just no big deal made about RIR outside of the region.
In fact... I may be mistaken, but I saw some recent advertising stating that Rock in Rio would be becoming a TOUR. .. (*which makes little sense because it would no longer be IN RIO)
I guess they've branded it. But the Rio thing has GOT TO GO .
. It'll be like another "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" thing (when Anaheim isn't even in Los Angeles County)
They already do Rock in Rio in Spain and Portugal, and did one in Las Vegas earlier this year, so too late on that one, Matt. :) Also, we've had sports teams that don't play in the city they're named after for a while...remember, the NY Giants and NY Jets don't even play in the state of New York! lol My only problem with the Angels is that that name is too damn long....
