I just remembered yesterday the existence of Holy Bulsara, a song written about Freddie by Pat Smear, former guitarist of the Germs, former touring guitarist of Nirvana (btw it's interesting to note that both he, Kurt Cobain and Dave Grohl liked Queen!) and guitarist for the Foo Fighters. Does anyone know any other song written about Freddie, except the ones written by the other members of Queen?
(Here is a link to the song, it's kinda weird because they put two songs together but Holy Bulsara begins at around 4:04. Not bad but I prefer the first one.) link
Hello,
I only know that a rock group from Italy (called Timoria) put out a song dedicated to Freddie in about 1992 (not really about Freddie, it was just a tribute). The song's name is "Non Siamo Solo Noi". Sadly, the band don't exist anymore, but they were quite popular in Italy back then.
Here's the song: link
I also know that Mika's latest album contains a song entitled "Last Party", which is about Freddie.
I'll be happy just as long as nobody mentions that horrible troll's "tribute song" ... I think it was called : "Freddie I'm a whiny monster singing like I've got emphysema. You're the best king mercury it's been 12 years and 14 hours and 32 seconds without you"...
I think the band was TREASURE TROLL.
I forgot than another Italian rocker (Pino Scotto) wrote a song about Freddie in 1992.
The song's named "Regina di Cuori" (Queen of Hearts), and unfortunately is sung in Italian :-): link
Freddies old pal Billy Squier: 'I saw you fly'
(alltough it seems as if he only performed the track live
and it has never been officially released)
(Well and off course Roger Taylor's 'old Friends')
Robby Valentine, from The Netherlands made a double CD single as a tribute to Freddie. He also playd supporting act during the Another World Tour. Plus he rocked the Queen Convention.

Also on the "Back to the Light Tour" ( Germany / Düsseldorf)
Played his version of "Dear Friends" there.
There's a song from an English songwriter called Frank Turner which mentioned Freddie in a positive way, although the song isn't about him. The track is called "Eulogy": link
I can't remember but a few years back here on Queenzone there was mentioned a song about Freddie or dedicated to him by some lady and this song was sung in a poetic way like...
Capricorn Sister by Mother Love Bone.
The singer of this band and Freddie share the same star sign, Capricorn. Freddie is mentioned in the lyrics.
After releasing a few great albums the singer was sadly killed. The band and some additional musicians recorded an amazing tribute album to the singer, called Temple of the Dog.
The musicians recording the tribute album continued working together, and went on to form 2 bands....Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.
So can anybody help ? There was a song which was sung by older lady (I think) and Freddie wasn't mentioned in it directly but it was dedicated to him and it also was focused on how he was treated by the papers in his last years. Does it ring a bell ?

Can't really help you here... But while I was trying to find it out, I discovered that even Helloween dedicated a song to Freddie, that is "Wanna Be God" from their 2013 album "Straight Out of Hell": link
