I like Adam's album very much, but I'd still rather see him do an album with Roger and Brian- and steer away from EDM. "Lucy" is great and I'd like to hear a whole album of that kind of sound. EDM all sounds the same to me- almost like "white noise" after a while, and does nothing to help the melody.
If you don't want to see Adam looking and sounding fabulous performing one of his new songs on Good America, don't watch. And I don't want to hear any bitchin'! link
I saw Adam on Jimmy Fallon the other day doing Ghost Town, and it was really good. It wouldn't typically be my type of music, but I did enjoy his performance.
Looks like this album is going to do pretty well in the UK. Predicting a top 5 entry when the charts are published later today.

Oh right, I don't think you can embed youtube links on this forum, all you can do is post the text of the link. I had to copy and paste your link to watch it.

I was always able to embed videos on this forum. I think there is a conspiracy!
Adam Lambert's new album debuted at #3 on the Billboard charts. This is now his third consecutive album that has debuted in the top 3 in America. Looks like 3 is his lucky number.
Lucy kinda. ...m sucked
No dynamics for a guy who has an incredible range*(but shouldn't showcase it in every song)
Why can't these uber fans just admit that he's not really a songwriter. He's a very capable singer and a bettering entertainer but it's a lot of pressure to put this guy through the Millhouse *(I'm transferring this word MILLWORKS into Millhouse)
Sucks for him.
An entertaining but stressful ride.
3 albums that BARELY feature his name as a songwriter. And NOBODY seriously interested in any artistic MERIT to his output.
His contract must suck. His writing skills must suck. And hemustbe terribly afraid of being unaccepted.
For once. I kinda feel for the brother.
Hope you do well Adam.
Spend some time elsewhere. Sneak away from the fold. Write something.
Writing him into some generic 90's retro gay music (George Michael: who happened to have an INCREDIBLY DIVERSE record with FAITH) without soul and throwing out a single that horribly attempts to merge two different styles with generic "reflecting on Hollywood names (Marilyn, James Dean) " that's so generic it diminishes what they were after. ..
I really feel bad for the guy now. The two structures are terribly fitted and sound anachronous.
He's giving it his all but probably terrified with 6 more years or so stuck in a contract with soulless moneymaking Scumbag representatives and "talent" and representatives who've "earned" their positions by birthright.
He seems like a thoughtful person.
Who knows.
But of the 6 songs I've heard. (And replayed for boredom's sake)
They're really just putting out "product"
I liked RUNNING from the last album. Even if it was made on a laptop.
Jesus.
How poorly are they investing in the guy?
Money's supposed to FIX everything right?
They're wasting him away.
I'll go listen to the rest of his album out of pity so I can have something yo write about in between subway transfers at the moment.
Where's his fan ship with an album review?
I'd think they'd elect their best and most outspoken person
Lately I've been reviewing items on Amazon and it seems that literacy is going down the drain.
next week I absolutely expect to read reviews such as ***** "(plausible grunt heightened with interest)" ... "it good"
QUEENZONE FANS do yourself a favor and go back and review your favorite film and album... whatever
m.
Look it up on Amazon
.. And THEN VIEW BY DATE. ...
The older the review, the more intuitive, varied, introspective and educational.
The more recent, the more succinct, useless and gruntworthy.
"It is good movie. I liked it like lot. Me maked happy. Good good good. Mmmmm. Good. I like".
"Barely featuring his name as songwriter"? He is a co-writer on a majority of the tracks on TOH and Trespassing......but who knows exactly how much he contributed, though.....

Exactly my point. His name is usually listed last on websites. I haven't seen a physical copy of the album sleeve however. Just downloaded 3 tracks and played others on jukeboxes.
He probably gets a writing credit for every demo track he selects.
You may not be aware of it, but many bands are propositioned to performance payment upon submitting tracks (and various other forms of exploitation) there are businesses that offer payment per song with the option to even sometimes just listen and pass. (Often gauging current trends by the styles of submissions)
It's a tricky cutthroat business.
I was just suggesting he probably doesn't write much of the material. But you're right. Even that is unfounded. But given an average of 3-5 songwriters per song it really seems likely.
