There is a report on these releases on Brian's site which says that all the albums are 2011 remasters, with the exception of Live Killers, which is the 2001 issue.
Bearing in mind this set includes live Magic, MK Bowl and Wembley live releases, this seems to categorically confirm that these live albums have 2011 remasters, but just that they were never released at the time as planned.
Perhaps GT can confirm the debut of these live remasters in this Italian set as stated? (And also why Live Killers hadn't also been treated to another remaster?)
It would be nice for someone able to buy it to rip a track, open it in Audacity or Adobe Audition and post a screenshot of the waveform. We would know if the live albums too were applied too much compression during the remastering.

But let's hope for the best.
Absolutely - me too. The original release for it stated that it contains ALL their studio and live albums, yet it doesn't have the Rainbow release, so that was wrong for starters. Proof reading of their press releases is usually non existent, but this is so specific it can't be a mistake surely?!?
The statement "2011 remasters except Killers (2001)" came originally from my web page Comunità Queeniana. Formally the release note by Mondadori says "latest remaster version", but actually we can check this only when these album are released. So far we have only Live Killers from 2001 and the others from 2011. Let's see the next one (Live Magic) on June 9th.
Both Live KiIllers and Live Magic are the 2001 digital remasters.
As regards to omitting Live At The Rainbow '74 from this series - that was down to the Italian record company.
