hi, is out now the official App from Queen (it's a game).available for IOS and Android. the price is (for Apple device): europe continental 2,99 € USA 2,99 $ i can't access to the other store. link link link best regards |
Kuijpy 27.05.2015 06:35 |
Ill never pay for a app, so I dont pay for this either. I will never buy anything from Queen, only for a BlueRay DVD Queen:All The Videos! or Queen: Anthology Box |

How you can describe this title: With beautiful imagery from Queen's official archive, re-sampled sounds from all the hits and many recordings you may not have heard |

I'm 25 years old so they have I hope 60 years the time for making a videobox or anthology box ha ha. |

Personally, I haven’t played anything on a mobile phone since Snake II on the famed Nokia 3310, so I wouldn’t pay money for a game. But it does look like an interesting little app I think, and those inclined towards playing quizzes and what not will enjoy it. £2.29 on Android isn’t too steep. Of course I could go on about what a money-grabbing commercial institution Queen are, but we already know that. |

i have it but the music does not work-no sound |
Lplix 27.05.2015 09:12 |
on apple device works well. the games are not difficult, but keep you a little busy (for me especially the puzzle). as far as the music is nothing new or never heard. if you're lucky you can win something real (not clear whether in cash or vouchers). ...and if you can make 100% in a game (see the photo), wow !!!!! (Bazinga) |

NCC1701Q 27.05.2015 12:55 |
Two things that I am thoroughly disappointed with (and yet I should have known better by now): - after paying €2,99 for the app, there is even an in-app-purchase for more questions (€0,99); - a lot of categories show "coming soon" (now where have we heard that one before? Was it on the Queen - The Eye-site (the infamous queen-fip.com)? Or when the digital e-book was published ("there are gonna be a lot of updates!")? Or when the first bootleg was available ("there are gonna be a hundred")......? Or.....? |
mooghead 27.05.2015 13:06 |
"- a lot of categories show "coming soon" If so that is shocking, they have released an unfinished product, then will probably want paying for the rest. A boycott is in order I think. |
Penetration_Guru 27.05.2015 16:41 |
To be honest, I wouldn't have bought it anyway, but.. - Overpriced - Really overpriced if it's incomplete! - Massively overpriced if the in-app purchases are more questions (I expected that to refer to the cross-selling of mp3s) - The point above about unfinished projects is a very good one. We should have a vote/poll/sweepstake on how many actual "monthly competitions" actually take place. I'll go for 8 |

Does this seem a little pointless really? I mean the press release made it sound so exciting but it's just a bloody quiz! Is this what QP are making Greg Brooks do in the office instead of working on the 'archives'. I mean, I know that no fans have ever asked whether or not we are ever going to see any of the archive recordings being released but surely the 'bookend' projects can't be that far away now surely??. Wrong. QUEEN: WWRY:THE MUSICAL is "QUEEN+" nearly all the way. You Brits had the luck of an occasional appearance by Brian and Roger but it's really gotta be considered QUEEN + or QUEEN ETC. ((The running title for this year's release****** sorry to spoil it! )) anyways I too am curious about the two wrong questions. Also another. I have a copy of THE EYE book but have never played the game. (No pun intended) how was it? Fun? And also. .. if it was such a dud, why is it still so pricey when looking online? |
dudeofqueen 01.06.2015 09:25 |
re: >Is this what QP are making Greg Brooks do in the office instead of working on the 'archives'. Yeah - they sacked old Greggy Boy from his tea making duties in January after months of half-full cups, sugar when people don't want it and leaving the lid off the milk in the fridge. They figured he couldn't fuck anything else up quite as badly so gave him the gig on the app.......... He'll be scrubbing khazis as of the start of this month....... |

Speaking of quizzes: who said the following not so long ago about Angry Birds? "In short, these people have now made it almost impossible for you to go on enjoying the game you have bought, unless you keep paying them more and more money. I think this is taking advantage … I think it's a rip-off. The makers of Angry Birds cannot be short of a few bob - so why are they being so greedy ?" Yes, right, it was Brian May. Got most of the way through the available content. Only have the last word search and puzzle. I am stuck on the last word search though. If you haven't gotten that far in the expert category they don't give you any clues for the word search. They give you a category and tell you how many words are in there. This one is "Selected Album Producers" Now it is a bit disingenuous as far as I can tell it's someone who (co)-produced any song on an album. I have found 13/14 and can't for the life of me get the last one. I thought maybe I could enlist you lot for some help! So far I've found: (Kris) Fredriksson (Joshua J) Macrae (David) Richards (Robin Geoffrey) Cable (David) Bowie (Arif) Mardin (Roy Thomas) Baker (Justin Shirley) Smith (Trip) Khalaf (Peter) Brandt (John) Anthony (Mike) Stone) Mack I tried looking for Queen or each of the band members - I even tried looking up BAND or SELF. I found SELF but it didn't take it as an answer. I even tried Orbit, Rodgers, and Andrews Any idea who I could be missing? |

Brian is listed for 'Flash'......so maybe they just goofed? Thanks for allowing us to play the game with you. |
Penetration_Guru 13.06.2015 22:08 |
Tried Freyer (Smile album) as well as Etchells (Live Killers), Rodgers (CR), Wallis (Blue Rock), Moroder, Jackson, Taylor, May, Queen and even Moran (not that I think he produced anything, it just occurred to me. Beach doesn't work either. The inclusion of Mardin & Bowie makes "Album Producers" a little misleading, but eliminating all of the above suggests that we're not even looking for an album that is primarily Queen. However, if you've got this far without uncovering similar errors, the chances are that this isn't one either. |

Yesterday I downloaded the first update of the app (I think it's version 1.0.1). It would have been nice if any of the "coming soon"-sections would have been filled with questions, but alas: just a few bug-fixes. Still more "coming soon"-categories than categories with actual questions. :( |

There was another fix. I just went back to the one I was stuck on and it's changed to "selected studio personnel. I now have 13/15 instead of 14 and it seems to have all moved around. I'll have to look again when I get a chance! Thanks for the help! |

New portions at the top of the search include "cahoots" as we were working together and connected to it is sox. Hmmmmm :p |

Well. At least the difficulty worked! I've gotta tell my nephews to keep trying on video games these days since they've lost the point of a good challenge. Some of the games I had growing up only gave you one life. Ya had to persevere. For the record I'll never buy a queen app. UNLESS it featured new music or incentives like rare studio stuff.
