I was wondering what it will be the Release for this year around Freddie s Birthday. Considering that Bo Rhap has 40 s birthday..there will be a special Release? Last year 40 years of Rainbow..and it was released... This year..Hammy 75 will cross 40 s and Rio will cross 30 s.. Next year Hyde Park... 2017 Houston..?.. What your consideration ?.. |

about A night at the opera, I think, was already super exploited, so I see no more things to sell. for the 2015 remains only live to release (like you say Rio or Hammy). in 2016 will be 30 years of Kind of Magic, that was one of the most prized queen album and could be nice a sorround dvd of this one, or some track/version officially unreleased for years (for ex. WWTLF with Freddie from the begin). in this year there is also the 70* anniversary of Freddie birth. also picnic at the serpentine would be a good output (full concert). for 2017 something uneard or revisted from News of the World could be interesting... ...... But these are just all hopes, as well as something really new and decent from Brian and/or Roger. As I see QP tip now especially on the publication of concerts |

It's looking a little bleak so far this year isn't it,which I think is understandable considering last year's two albums and tour and Rogers boxset. I'm hoping for a live album too. I don't know whether anything is in the vaults but I think a live album of the A Night At The Opera Tour would be a perfect release. I hope Hammy 75 alone isn't released. I'm of the opinion that the release this year might consist of The Hammy 75 show plus bonus tracks from Hyde Park. I know we'd all like both concerts released in full, but I'm doubtful if QP have all the audio (nevermind the visual) multimate tracks for Hyde Park. We know Sweet Lady is in the vaults from Hyde Park and YTMBA audio, but whether they have anything else is unconfirmed. |

Cosmos Rock (Remastered) Fun In Space & Strange Frontier (Remastered) both with Say It's Not True as bonus (a new try to convert this song as hit) |

I'm thinking there's a possibility they've been stored in the SAUDI ARABIAN border pending a considerable war of attrition granting new avenues for cheap commerce. Coming soon. .. THE COSMOS ROCKS "8 MILLION UNITS" sold in IRAN! |

I'm not counting out the possibility that there will be something very cool released this fall.........we had no freakin clue about Rainbow this time last year, right? |

If they hadn't lost this opportunity (wink wink) with the laughable 2011 deluxe version, we could have had an actual expanded version of the album, with a full instrumental of the album, live takes, alternate mixes... Say what you want about the recent Led Zep remasters, but some of the alternate mixes and takes (think LZ III and HOTH) are a real treat and shed a new light on these records. ANATO deserves a true expanded edition. |

I'd be easily satisfied with an expanded INNUENDO release as they should have done. One original mix. One remastered/remixed (it's a pity they've almost retired the 5.1 format) B- sides plus extended edits included on disc 2 (if just a remaster this is enough) demos, Perhaps some AUTHORITATIVE SOURCE with a nice writing bit describing the situation, sessions, dates, unrealized MIRACLE live shows preceding, stuff to give it the historical context *(IMHO It's damn near their best album although it came at the end) also an explanation of holdovers and changes to songs which resulted in ALL GOD'S PEOPLE etc. A bit from Steve Howe maybe. It's a shame Dave Richards isn't around. Comprehensive press duplicates and a blu-ray/dvd with ALL THE POST 90 videos. (They CAN omit the MIH stuff for a separate release but why not put NOBU out there somewhere? ) Perhaps even an interview with the THREE surviving members (insuring that the album is reviewed and held in the high regard it deserves) Vinyl editions featuring large insert size press photos from the TATDOOL photo op. (Brian with growing whiskers, John Deacon with his graying tufts hair do, Roger looking like Rue McClanahan, and Freddie in his cat vest) No sense in reprinting the old calendar issues. It's about damn time the post MIRACLE videos see a proper release in a digital format |

Phew, almost fell off my chair there... |
matt z 18.05.2015 19:03 |
Haha. Yeah. The miracle was a stretch but an odds and ends one. I was actually hoping for more feedback on TATDOOL's photo sessions, with Roger looking like Rue McClanahan.... but I guess it'd take a post about fake passports to rouse the group up! The miracle IS an odd collection. Very "of its era" |

Hammy 75 would be an absolutely logical release. Especially after it was announced in 2005, 2009, and 2011 and we "know" both the video and the audio were remastered. |
brians wig 19.05.2015 18:52 |
A Hammersmith boxset containing BOTH '75 & '79 gigs would go down nicely: both of them nicely interlaced and complete on SD Bluray please. No more lesser quality DVDs! |
cmi 20.05.2015 00:28 |
Much more logically is to combine Hammersmith Odeon '75 and Hyde Park '76 into one set as ANATO era concerts. But I much prefer CD+BD/DVD standalone releases of each concert. Or several concerts of the same tour at the same venue (Earls Hourt '77, Paris '78, Rio '85, Wembley '86) |

Had they resigned their deal it would have been released. Universal went with The Rainbow because their was more footage and a full set performed rather than the shortened version played at the Hammy because of TV constraints. The Hammersmith Xmas show is not a good representation of the setlist played on that tour. |

Coupling it with Hyde Park would be sensible, or maybe even a Budokan video or audio release if htey have one in good enough quality. |

If there is the studio collection vinyl box set, There must be the live collection vinyl box set but in very long time (MAYBE) |
matt z 30.10.2015 09:11 |
There was also a collection called QUEEN ROCKS (**VOLUME ONE***) I like the optimistic way you're thinking but Nothing subsequently happened. I think the terminology is purely omitting the live albums because they already have multiple formats (*excluding live magic and live killers which have been seemingly dropped from catalogue) |
Sue Dounim 30.10.2015 09:46 |
If they do revisit previously released live material I sure would like an SD blu ray edition of Milton Keynes '82, maybe even with a new mix where I can actually hear the bass. |
