I simply love the track that features Paul Rodgers & Queen called "Runaway" it has a great vocal from Paul and brilliant guitar licks from Brian! Simply stunning track and very under rated. Wish Paul had continued making new music with Queen as he is a more worthy artist than Adam Lambert. |

How you can even say this?? You are the Knight-of-Freddie's-legacy so it's total hypocrisy from you. Everything you've ever waffled about and now you are saying it's ok for Paul Rodgers. |

'No One But You' all the way!Its the only descent song after 'Made in Heaven' except 'Let Me In' which is gorgeous!! |

'No-One But You' and 'Small' are both absolutely beautiful. They're not Queen songs to me, but they're great regardless of what you call them. |

I like We Are The Champions with Robbie Williams, fantastic new guitar solo from Brian, and offcourse Say it's Not True! |

If we're not counting the Made In Heaven LP, then are we down to 'No One But You' the 'The Cosmos Rocks' album, plus the 'one offs' with Five, Dappy, Britney, Robbie etc...? As the 'one offs' were all Queen covers I'm disregarding those (though if pushed I'd go for John Farnham's WWRY), and so I'll go for: 'No One But You', 'I Believe' 'Say it's Not True' (until Rodgers comes in wailing like a cretin around every vowel - 'Say It's Not Troooahhhh'), 'All That Glitters' |

Paul Rodgers was a bad fit for Queen. Cosmos Rocks sounded like a Bad Company album, I can't imagine that was a coincidence. I have no particular favourite track, but We Believe and Small were bearable. No-One But You was good, but then Paul wasn't on that. I'm with whoever criticised Rodgers stupid "ooooeeeewwwwh" sounds. They put on a decent show, but the Adam Lambert show was a whole lot better. His voice is clearly a better fit. |
Rugby_guy 19.03.2015 11:53 |
I honestly think "Runaway" should have been released as a single because it has more Queen trade marks than "celebrity" Paul Rodgers vocals are really great and those blistering Queen guitar licks are Queen back on top! That is what Queen should be doing now making great new songs and not wasting time touring with Miss Lambert and her Queen karaoke tour! |

Haha, "truuuuoeewwh". It's true though. I like when Brian and Roger sing together. Like 'No One But You', 'Say It's Not True'. I love the live version of TATDOOL partly for that reason. Shame they didn't perform it where I saw them. |

Runaway is pretty sweet..........guess the question is really, what do you like out best out of NOBY and Cosmos Rocks? Of course NOBY and SINT are brilliant, and Small as well.......I even really like a few of the TCR songs that no one seems to really talk about.........like Warboys and Voodoo... Yeah, they're really more like Paul Rodgers solo songs with Brian and Roger......I dont think that's a bad thing tho! :D |

Well, it's not like we're spoilt for choice in this particular area, but I would go for "No-One But You". For me, it's a Queen song, as it sounds like Queen, was made by three remaining members and with Freddie in mind. I can feel the Queen spirit there. "Say It's Not True" would be my number 2, as the song really builds up and Brian's solo is cracking. Sounds Queenesque, even with Paul Rodgers singing. I don't have a number 3, really. Nothing that stuck in my mind as a Queen moment. "C-lebrity" is bearable, but it's not Queen. The studio collaborations were always inferior to versions recorded with Freddie, so can't include any of them. "Forever" tracks contain Freddie, so I suspect they don't count either. Well, maybe the best is still to come!! |

Some Things That Glitter. It's classic Brian from alpha to omega. Hands down, the best song he's created in 15 years. Had he not been working on his PhD thesis at the time, he could've probably come up with a few more. |

Not Queen, but with nou doubt Queen related the following tracks are for me the most enjoyable tracks: The Unblinking Eye (everything is broken) Small Say isn't True Sunny Day Be My Gall (my brightest spark) yes, I know all are Roger's songs, but man, Roger's work is superb. Worth a mention and a Queen song: No-One But You. Tom |

Let Me In Your Heart Again is the best.Followed by No One But You, Small, and All Things That Glitter. By the way I wish they had done another album with Paul Rodgers. I really liked Cosmos Rocks. |
Rugby_guy 20.03.2015 06:24 |
Yes i believe they did not give the coalition time with Paul Rodgers, as the next album could have been a great one and even better than the cosmos rocks. Paul has a good rock singing voice and so that goes great with Mays blistering guitar work and Taylors drumming with high hats ! |

They produced an album which, as pointed out before, sounded more like Bad Company In many interviews Rodgers said they (BM&RT) were making all the decisions, set list, stage design, album production song choice etc. Rodgers has never worked with anyone where he has been willing to sit back and give control to other members. Without knowing the internal politics within the lineup I don't think you can say they split too soon. |

Runaway is great song and ofcourse Paul is miles better rock and vocal artist than Adam wich has no rock pedigree and still doesnt stop over singing each Queen song. He is a natural pop singer who cant writte decent hit or have a talent to make one off hit wich we all can remember or can orive that hes worthy to put up with legends like Queen. Paul Rodgers is a fuckin legend with legendary song/singing powerhouse catalogue. I still dont get why Adam every song he sings is oversinged or make ending songs look like they are some kind of yelling to mic like a slaughter goat. He will be and stay better in covering songs just because he lacks creativity talent. Rhis is just my opinion. I dont hate Adam but I just dont like his singing stile and my ears dont lie if I said that his high pitch is squilling, hus high pitch isnt awesone and powerfull like Tates,Kennedys and Freddies ifcozrse. Some singers especially Freddie Mercurys high register maje my spune gies in shiwers. I will never forget I mean never ever forget the day I first time listen to Freddie and Billy Squier "Love Is The Hero" begining when Freddie nailed that God stunning powerhouse frase " Never say never say neeeeeeeeeeeeeeveeeeeeeeer"! That my friends is the greatest voice ever and that fraze is a killer!! What a vical man, what a gid damn vocal my friends. Cheers to all my friends QueenZoners ;) |

I quite like HIM, Muse, Pink, Airbourne, The Donnas "post Queen, after Freddie". Chasing Cars is probably my favourite song of the last twenty years though |

Mr.Mouth: You my friend are 100% correct that Paul Rodgers is a power house singer and miles better than Adam Lambert. Paul does indeed have a very good pedigree where as Adam is struggling to get some kind of niche in his ability to sing properly. My ears do not lie either and i prefer Paul Rodgers any day to fake Lambert. Lambert thinks he is gods gift well he is in for a shock because he is not anything worth remembering! fickle boy! |

After the real Queen: what are we made of It's fucking fantastic Followed by dream of thee and Why don't we try again But if STRICTLY "QUEEN+" then .... (Two minutes later) ..... Rogers stuff was good but strictly "QUEEN+?" .... Hold on. .... FIVE LIVE... that bit with George Michael doing papa was a rolling stone. .... Oh wait. .. that wasn't with the band. Hold on. .... Man. I'm really stumped. Seriously. I'd say SURF'S UP, SCHOOL'S OUT if it wasn't such a retarded title and chorus. RUNAWAY suffered from overproduction FIRE AND WATER (*Live) Hearing Brian tear it up on that song was incredible. Wish I'd caught THAT Tour instead of being a dope. |

yes goldie42, the song is great. Last year when there was a rumour of a "Made in Heaven 2", Which turned out to be Queen Forever, I was hoping they would include a reworked version of this song where they would replace the the female voices with the Brian/Roger harmonie. |

If the rule stands for one it stands for all! |

If the rule stands for one it stands for all! Freddie Mercury was 100% perfect for songs written by and for Freddie Mercury. It's simple as that. Same applies to Adam for songs written for Adam Lambert. Only problem is attempting to transmit a singer to songs written by and for Freddie. Though Freddie sounds strained in the IBEX recordings, those were hardly professional. (I mention IBEX for anyone looking to draw a parallel between the two) Why can't people admit that ours it's not the best combination but Adam pulls off a few of the power ballads well |
