Angelo has a fantastic and similar tone to Fred. He is a great pianist and musician. The only issue is his accent. If he could overcome that then he will be one of the top Fred voice-artists/repro's.
His vibrato's a little different to Freddie's, too. The Freddie-like tone kind of disappears once he launches into the first verse.
This also reminded me how much I love the Now I'm Here vocal harmonies.
His accent is hilarious. The voice itself is pretty good, but the delivery needs some more power. I remember how surprised I was when I first heard the isolated vocals of NIH. It's much more vicious and powerful than it first appears to be, drowned in all the other instruments.
The guy has great tone and sounds very similar to early Freddie.
If the guy roughens up the voice just a tad and softens the accent - he'd nail Freddie's 70s voice.
he's certainly mastered Freddie's style, and has a similar technique, and actually a very good voice. He doesn't sound exactly like Freddie, but he's very good.
He has his own compositions on his page too. His music is heavily influenced by Freddie - in fact he could be Freddie around 1982. It's nice stuff. Perhaps it's too Queen sound-a-like in some ways but it's very nice music.
Go and listen to So Bright, it's totally The Game/Flash era Queen.
Jesus, this guy is incredible.
At times he sounds absolutely identical to Fred, and on some of his covers I wouldn't be able to tell that certain parts are not the Queen original.
And it's very interesting to have him writing and recording songs that are so Queeny in every way. Probably the closest we'll get to ever hearing a brand new classic Queen song.
Wow! We should make a fund collection to give this guy a posh accent coach.
TBH, his accent bothers me less than Adam's... Queen songs with an American accent just don't work for me. Being vaguely Italian myself, it makes me smile.
