Hi guys, I would like to share my compilation video of Q+AL concerts in Paris, Brussels ( !! ) and Sheffield. Sorry if the title (Europe tour) misinforms. I did buy ticket of Krakow Poland concert, but for some silly reason I took the wrong flight.
Brian sang a French song in Paris (Plaisir D’amour), I put subtitles there so you can enjoy the man’s linguistics skill and beautiful singing. “Who want to live forever” is the only complete song in my compilation, other songs are incomplete because I had to enjoy the music rather than concentrating on recording ^^
I was at the last row seat so I had to zoom my camera 16x , normally the videos would be very shaky but I’m proud of my steady hand. I’m NOT proud of my voice ruining “Love of my life”, but I really don’t want to cut it out of the batch.
In my opinion, the Paris venue is pretty small (5000 audience) but they sang along quite well, and made some big noise. On the other hand, the Motorpoint Arena show in Sheffield was rather cold, especially if you consider that it was the last show of the tour. Hardly anyone around me moved and sang. Any Sheffielder here who could confirm that?
This afternoon while I was processing the compilation, the 5-6 years old children of my neighborhood peeped through my window and they couldn't take their eyes/ears off my screen while Brian was playing acoustic. Since the video is nothing flashy, I suppose it's the music that kept them interested. Seriously, AL or no AL, I can listen to Brian's ballading voice all day long. link

There are several videos in it that were not included in the youtube compilation:
MV 2219 (Brian's guitar part)
MV 2228 ("39")
MV 2236 (snippet of drum battle)
MV 2280 (BoRhap - the camera run out of batterie)
You're welcome Kayd ^^
Brian's French is quite good, in speaking and in singing. If only I'd got a chance to go to other concerts to hear him speaking German, Polish, Czech,... :-)
I hope this forum section will not be dead after the europe tour finishes. The tour holds so much memories for me.
Way cool! Thank you! On a side note if you don't mind may I ask how you took the wrong flight and when you found out? Sorry that that happened to you! I've been to Kraków, Poland with my family back in 1996 when I was 18. (I'm from the U.S.). It was a great trip. I hope you were able to enjoy something of it.
I did attend the Cracow gig and just before speaking polish he had that troubled look "will I do it properly" ? He was great and the audience really appreciated that he attempted to learn and speak few polish words.
AlexRocks: I should have said that I "bought the wrong flight".
I bought the 21 Mar flight instead of 21 Feb, being too tired at that moment (and it didn't help that 21 Mar is also Saturday as 21 Feb lol)
I had even checked in, but when I wanted to board the airplane they refused me :D
So this 21 Mar I will come to Krakow, without any Queen.
MercurialFreddie: thank you for the detail^^
I like the fact that Brian (and Queen in general) always want to play some tribute to the country/city in their concerts.
Playing The Beatles' song in Liverpool, speaking the crowd's language,...
Here you are guys, a folder of all my files from the 2 concerts, with no edit, straight from my camera (not a big camera though): link
