Seeing as how most reasonable discussions devolve into hatred spewing shit slinging caustic insult fests...
Could it be possible that conversely, STARTING WITH HATRED AND SHIT SLINGING; a conversation could EVOLVE to affirmations and pleasantries?
Q: why all the hatred? Why all the snipes?
Sometimes it's just beyond ridiculous. Pages and pages of armchair battles.
I don't think so, since this place is kinda' like a jungle: with people, monkeys, trolls, and non-rational people. With a huge mix of races, cultures, knowledge, humour, which exists as a very messy salad.
But anyway, if every conversation finished in the wanted way, it wouldn't be the real world. It would be QueenOnline, with 200 threads about Wembley '86 and Live Killers.
Why don't you start a shit-slinging thread to find out, Matt.
Start by telling us we only got here because our dad was having a wank and mum got in the way. Something like that.
See how it develops.

I know what you mean. There are a lot of people with emotional baggage carried down from the early days,
I think one of the "quarrels" was in the sharing of music in mp3 versus flac. Those in favour of flac won the "war", leaving those who lost feeling bitter. Some people are quite blunt in their posts and those at the receiving end do not forgive.
When I first joined, the posts were mostly replied with insults, sarcasm and, worst of all, purposeful misinformation which they think is a joke but is misleading to a newbie fan. I think the situation is much better now. The people who post now are usually more focussed on discussing the points raised.

I must have missed that.........there was actually a 'war' over that? Dont get that one............(when if you really want something in mp3 so bad, its easy enough to convert......)

Maybe I was wrong but I got this impression from reading some of the past posts when people share music in mp3 instead of flac, after flac came into being.
I noticed that your number is pretty low - that means you have been around for a long time. Maybe you can help us understand the background to the bad feelings between a few people here :-)

Ya know. That's not a bad idea.
Problem is, we'd probably start a religion based on RELIEF (of ills)
And then we'd have to incorporate, create a hierarchy. .. etc. Maybe write a book. Think I'll sleep on it and give it a shot tomorrow
